Rohmatillah, Siti and Ir. Eko Andi Suryo, ST., MT and Prof. Dr. Ir.As’ad Munawir, MT. (2021) Analisis Perencanaan Sheet Pile Pada Pelabuhan Kabil Kota Batam. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

English Abstract

In 2017, PT. Docks and Shipping Kodja Bahari started the construction of sheet piles to prevent the reclaimed land from abrasion. The land will be used for the construction of a shipyard. However, the construction has failed so that a new sheet pile construction was needed to support the planned shipyard construction. Hence, this research is aimed to re-plan the sheet pile by considering factors causing the failure on the previous sheet pile. It is expected that planning, which is suitable for the real condition in Kabil, Batam, can be obtained. An analysis that is going to be conducted in this planning includes characteristics analysis and soil parameters based on the SPT (Standard Penetration Test) data. In addition, the analysis of lateral earth pressure due to wave employed Goda method, analysis of lateral earth pressure due to the soil, and the last one was an analysis of anchored sheet pile comprising of piling depth, anchor location, and sheet pile dimension employed, as well as anchor planning. The tide analysis result employed the LWS (Low Water Spring) method, where the lowest tide condition in Kabil waters with an MHWS value of 2.57 m, MSL of 1.54 m, and MLWS of 0.32 m. For anchored sheet pile planning analysis during three condition of sea level, such as high tide, average sea level, and low tide, after that the greatest value of the three will be taken. The results of the sheet pile design obtained a driving depth of 7.4046 m starting at the fourth soil layer with the total length of the sheet pile being 19.5 m. In addition, the required cross section value of sheet pile cross section is 26544.1 cm3/m , so the ESC-PB1676.4x25.4 sheet pile type is used with a cross section value of 28849 cm3/m. As for the results of the anchor design, the type of anchor is obtained in the form of an anchor plate with a size of 1.5 x 1.5 meters installed with a distance of 1.4 m and for the tie rod type used is a rolled thread with a diameter of 70 mm grade 500 with a total budget required of Rp95.992.000.000,00.
