Abstract

Setiap orang pasti mempunyai memori masa lalu yang hingga kini masih membekas diingatan. Memori bisa berupa kenangan baik itu suka maupun duka. Masa lalu pasti memiliki kesan yang tidak mungkin terlupakan, sehingga berpengaruh terhadap bentuk karakter seseorang kedepannya. Tujuan dari penciptaan ini adalah untuk berkarya seni lukis dengan menghadirkan memori masa lalu yang mempunyai nilai inspiratif, menyampaikan ide penulis sebagai bentuk berdamai dengan masa lalu melalui penciptaan karya seni Lukis, dan menunjukkan potensi-potensi estetik memori masa lalu yang bisa dijadikan refleksi diri. Penulis menggunakan metode yang dikemukakan oleh Alma M. Hawkins dalam buku “Metodologi Penelitian Seni Pertunjukan dan Seni Tari” yang diadopsi sebagai metode penciptaan seni rupa penulis, ada beberapa tahapan dalam menciptakan sebuah karya seni yakni eksplorasi, improvisasi, dan pembentukan dalam proses penciptaan. Penulis terinspirasi oleh beberapa karya seniman seperti Roby Dwi Antono, Salvador Dali, dan Khalid Shanin. Hasil dari tugas akhir ini yakni tujuh karya lukisan yang berjudul “Traumatic Memory”, “Insecure”, “Past Dimension”, “Forget And Forgive”, “Reflection (Mirror Of The Past)”, “Catharsis (Peaceful With The Past)”, dan “True Happiness”. Ketujuh lukisan menggunakan teknik plakat dan teknik basah, setiap lukisan berisi pesan yang disampaikan oleh penulis sebagai alternatif, perspektif, dan pola pikir baru oleh penikmat seni maupun masyarakat luas pada umumnya. Sehingga penulis mampu menyampaikan gagasannya melalui tema memori masa lalu dengan menyuarakan melalui karya lukis. Bahwasannya kreatifitas dalam menemukan ide maupun bentuk yang tepat dalam berkarya tentang memori masa lalu, bisa ditemukan dengan menggabungkan ingatan-ingatan masa lalu dengan dampaknya pada pola pikir kita saat ini maupun masa depan kita nantinya

English Abstract

Everyone must have a memory of the past that still remains in mind. Memory can be memories both happy and sorrowful. The past must have an impression that is impossible to forget, so it affects the shape of one's character in the future. The purpose of this creation is to create painting by presenting memories of the past that have inspiring value, conveying the author's idea as a form of peace with the past through the creation of paintng works, and showing the aesthetic potentials of past memory that can be used as self-reflection. The author uses the method presented by Alma M. Hawkins in the book "Methodology of Performing Arts and Dance Art Research" which was adopted as a method of creation of the author's art, there are several stages in creating a work of art, namely exploration, improvisation, and formation in the process of creation. The author was inspired by the work of artists such as Roby Dwi Antono, Salvador Dali, and Khalid Shanin. The final assignments include seven paintings titled "Traumatic Memory", "Insecure", "Past Dimension", "Forget And Forgive", "Reflection (Mirror Of The Past)", "Catharsis (Peaceful With The Past)", and "True Happiness". The seven paintings use placard techniques and wet techniques, each painting contains a message conveyed by the author as an alternative, perspective, and new mindset by art connoisseurs and the general public. So that the author is able to convey his ideas through the theme of past memory by voicing through painting. That creativity in finding the right idea and form in working on the memory of the past, can be found by combining the memories of the past with the impact on our current and future mindsets
