Abstract

Pada penelitian ini isolator terbuat dari bahan resin epoksi dengan filler fly ash dan aluminium oksida dan divariasikan dengan 2 tipe sirip isolator yaitu BBB dan BKB dengan pembuatan dimensi yang memperhatikan standar IEC. Pengujian yang dilakukan menggunakan 2 kondisi untuk masing-masing isolator yaitu kondisi kering dan kondisi basah. Pada penelitian ini akan diuraikan pengaruh dari tipe variasi sirip permukaan isolator terhadap distribusi medan listrik, sudut kontak, tingkat arus bocor, dan tegangan flashover dalam kondisi kering dan basah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan mengambil data arus bocor dan tegangan flashover secara langsung di Laboratorium Teknik Tegangan Tinggi Universitas Brawijaya, faktor bentuk, debit pembasahan, sudut kontak, serta dilakukan simulasi distribusi medan listrik pada masing-masing variasi isolator menggunakan software FEMM 4.2. Pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan tegangan tinggi AC. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini isolator tipe sirip seragam memiliki nilai arus bocor yang lebih kecil dari tipe sirip tidak seragam baik pada kondisi kering dan basah sangat berpengaruh terhadap arus bocor. Debit pembasahan juga berpengaruh terhadap arus bocor, dimana peningkatan debit pembasahan berbanding lurus dengan tingkat arus bocor dan berbanding terbalik dengan ketahanan suatu isolator menahan tegangan flashover serta kuat medan rata-rata yang paling maksimum terdapat pada isolator tipe sirip tidak seragam dan kuat medan paling rendah terdapat pada isolator tipe sirip seragam, dan sesuai dengan perhitungan faktor bentuk bahwa nilai faktor bentuk yang paling tinggi terdapat pada isolator tipe sirip seragam, serta yang paling terendah terdapat pada isolator tipe sirip tidak seragam, dan hasil perhitungan sudut kontak yang paling tertinggi terdapat pada isolator tipe sirip seragam dan yang paling terendah terdapat pada isolator tipe sirip tidak seragam sehingga sifat hidrofobik yang paling baik berada di isolator sirip seragam.

English Abstract

In this study, the insulator is made of epoxy resin with fly ash and aluminum oxide fillers and is varied with 2 types of insulator disc, uniform insulator disc system which consist of three discs with same size and non-uniform insulator disc system which consist of two big insulator discs and one small insulator disc in between the two and IEC standards are used as consideration in the making. The tests were carried out using 2 conditions for each insulator, dry and wet testing condition. This research will describe the effect of the type of insulator surface fin variation on the distribution of electric field, contact angle, leakage current level, and flashover voltage in dry and wet conditions. The research method used is to take data on leakage current and flashover voltage at the High Voltage Engineering Laboratory, Brawijaya University. Form factor, imitation rain debit, contact angle, and simulation of electric field distribution on each insulator variation using FEMM 4.2 software. Tests are carried out using high voltage AC. The results obtained from this study that the uniform disk type insulator has a smaller leakage current than the non-uniform disk type in both dry and wet conditions, which greatly affects the leakage current. The Imitation rain debit also affects the leakage current, where the increase in the rain debit is directly proportional to the level of leakage current and inversely proportional to the resistance of an insulator to withstand flashover voltages and the maximum average field strength is found in non-uniform disk type insulators and the lowest field strength is found in uniform disk type insulator, and according to the form factor calculation that the highest form factor value is found in uniform disk type insulators, and the lowest is found in non-uniform disk type insulators, and also the results of the calculation of the highest contact angle are found in the uniform disk type insulator and the lowest is found in the non-uniform disk type insulator so that the best hydrophobic properties are in the uniform fin insulator.
