Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui untuk mengetahui peran sumber protein alternatif sebagai pengganti tepung ikan terhadap kualitas pakan ikan yang dihasilkan pada literatur serta untuk mengetahui perlakuan terbaik pada masing-masing sumber protein yang digunakan dalam pakan ikan pada literatur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode narrative review yaitu merupakan kegiatan membaca suatu naskah dengan seksama kemudian membuat ringkasan, menarik kesimpulan, dan menemukan kesenjangan dalam naskah yang disesuaikan dengan topik dan pertanyaan penelitian. Sumber literatur yang digunakan yaitu berasal dari Google scholar, Tandfonline, Springer link, dan beberapa sumber jurnal nasional. Hasil penyajian dan penarikan kesimpulan data, diperoleh hasil berupa beberapa sumber protein alternatif yang dapat digunakan sebagai pengganti tepung ikan. Dari beberapa sumber protein alterinatif tersebut dipilih tepung usus ayam sebagai sumber protein alternatif. Pemilihan ini dilihat dari beberapa aspek, yaitu dari segi kandungan protein yang tinggi yaitu 70%, harga yang relatif terjangkau, ketersediaan yang melimpah serta pemanfaatannya yang tidak bersaing dengan manusia. Tepung usus ayam dapat 100% digunakan sebagai pengganti tepung ikan dalam formulasi pakan ikan. Komposisi 100% tepung usus ayam dan 0% tepung ikan menghasilkan pakan ikan dengan kadar protein sebesar 35,027%.

English Abstract

Artificial feed is one of the important factors in improving the quality of fish growth. Artificial feed that contains high nutritional value can encourage fish growth to be faster. The quality of a feed is determined by the composition of the ingredients used. The more protein content, the better the quality of the feed. One of the obstacles in the manufacture of artificial feed sources of animal protein with fish meal as raw material is that fish meal is still an imported commodity until now. In 2016 Indonesia imported fish meal raw materials up to 221,564 tons, so an alternative protein source is needed as a substitute for fish meal. For this reason, in this literature review, we will discuss the role of alternative protein sources as a substitute of fish meal on the quality of fish feed (tilapia, catfish, carp). On this study uses the narrative review method, which is an activity to read a text carefully then make a summary, draw conclusions, and find gaps in the text that is adapted to the topic and research question. There are several stages in the narrative review process. First, determine the source of the literature to be searched, namely from Google scholar, Tandfonline, Springer link, and several national journal sources. Then, do a selection of the literature obtained. After that, carefully review the selected literature and then proceed with making tabulations for data presentation. And the last to draw conclusions From the results of the presentation and conclusion of data, the results obtained are several alternative protein sources that can be used as a substitute for fish meal, namely chicken intestine meal, bioprocessed soybean meal, groundnut, chicken feather silage meal, spirulina, earthworm meal, golden snail x meal, insect meal, catfish head meal and old cassava leaf meal. From several alternative protein sources, chicken intestine meal was chosen as an alternative protein source. This selection is seen from several aspects, namely in terms of high protein content of 70%, relatively affordable prices, abundant availability and utilization that does not compete with humans. Chicken intestine meal can be 100% used as a substitute for fish meal in fish feed formulations. The composition of 100% chicken intestine meal and 0% fish meal produced fish feed with a protein content of 35.027%.
