Wardana, Yopi Setia (2021) Hubungan Tingkat Konsumsi Pakan Harian Terhadap Komposisi Fitoplankton Pada Budidaya Udang Vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) Secara Intensif di PT. Varia Indowin Perkasa, Banyuwangi. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
Increased production of vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) is correlated with the increased use of feed as one of the main production factors in intensive cultivation activities. Feed is a potential supplier of nutrient waste. The process of overhauling the feed will produce an organic nitrogen compound in the form of TAN (Total Ammonia Nitrogen). The results of feed excretion by vaname shrimp which accumulate into nutrients will have an impact on the diversity and abundance of phytoplankton. The impact of excess organic nutrients in the water will cause eutrophication, plankton bloom which results in oxygen depletion. This study aims to determine the relationship between the amount of daily feed consumption with the composition and abundance of phytoplankton in intensive vaname shrimp (L. vannamei) culture. This study used data obtained from the intensive vaname shrimp pond of PT. Varia Indowin Perkasa, Wongsorejo District, Banyuwangi Regency, East Java; from October to November 2020. This research was conducted in 3 vannamei shrimp cultivation ponds. The method used in the analysis is descriptive method and the data used is secondary data. The data obtained in this study include the amount of daily feed consumption and the abundance of phytoplankton. Daily water quality parameters were temperature, salinity and pH, while weekly water quality parameters were TAN, Nitrite and Alkalinity. Data on the relationship between feed consumption and plankton were tested using simple linear regression analysis using SPSS v. 22. The results of this study indicate the diversity of phytoplankton in the ponds consisting of several classes, namely Green Algae, Blue Green Algae, Diatoms and Dinoflagellates. The total feed consumption given to pond C2 was 1643 kg, C5 was 2007.5 kg and C8 was 2280.5 kg. The measurement results of the total abundance of plankton for each pond, namely C2 ranged from 1167.4 × 104 cells / ml, C5 was 1836.1 × 104 cells / ml, C8 was 834.1 × 104 cells / ml. The level of feed consumption has a positive correlation to the abundance of phytoplankton in pond C2 with a correlation value of 0.499 and C8 with a value of 0.330 and leads negatively to pond C5 with a value of -0.444. The relationship between the level of feed consumption and the phytoplankton diversity of C2, C5 and C8 ponds shows a significant positive correlation of 0.646, 0.440 and 0.509 in the Diatom class, respectively. This value shows that the relationship between the level of feed consumption and the diatom class is unidirectional. The negative relationship in the Blue Green Algae class is -0.223, -0.430, -0.107, respectively.
