Danafi, Eko Diki (2017) Perbandingan Kadar Kortisol dan Rasio Neutrofil per Limfosit sebagai Indikator Stres pada Lutung Jawa (Trachypitecus auratus) pada Kandang Perawatan dan Kandang Karantina di Javan Langur Center. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
Javan langur (Trachypithecus auratus) is endemic species of Java and Bali. Javan langur populations are increasingly declining and protected in Menteri Kehutanan dan Perkebunan 733 / Kpts-II / 1999. Javan Langur Center is one of the places to rehabilitate Javan langur in order to prevent the population decline in its natural habitat. The declining population of Javan langur is caused by various diseases caused by stress in their natural habitat and captive breeding. Javan Langur Center consists of three enclosures the care cage, the quarantine cage and the socialization cage. Stress responses in primates can be evaluated using the measurement indicators of cortisol hormone and the ratio of neutrophils/lymphocyte. The aim of this research is to know the difference of cortisol and neutrophil per lymphocyte as indicator of stress on Javan langur in cage treatment with quarantine cage. Javan langurs aged 2-7,5 years, male and female sex. Measurement of cortisol content by ELISA Indirect wave method at 450 nm and neutrophil per lymphocyte was measured by hematology analyzer. The results showed that the sample in the treatment cage had an average cortisol content of 116,068 ng / mL and an average quarantine cage of 87,535 ng / mL, and the measurement of neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio an average treatment cage 11,34 and an average quarantine cage 1,22. There was a difference in cortisol levels and the ratio of neutrophils/lymphocyte to a higher treatment cage than a quarantine cage.
