Abstract
Latar Belakang: Prevalensi hubungan seksual dini remaja putri di Indonesia mengalami peningkatan di tahun 2017 (2%) dibandingkan tahun 2012 (1%). Penelitian sebelumnya telah mengidentifikasi bahwa komunikasi antara orangtua dan remaja dapat menjadi faktor pelindung bagi kesehatan reproduksi dan seksual remaja. Tujuan: Mengidentifikasi peran intensitas komunikasi antara anak remaja dan orangtua terhadap perilaku seksual remaja berdasarkan literature review. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian literature review dengan menggunakan metode analisis PICOT. Sebanyak 10 artikel jurnal bereputasi diperoleh dari berbagai database online, seperti Science Direct, PubMed, Springer, Wiley Online Library, dan Google Scholar. Jenis jurnal yang digunakan adalah artikel penelitian asli yang diterbitkan pada tahun 2010-2020. Jurnal yang diperoleh menjelaskan pengaruh komponen intensitas komunikasi yang meliputi kualitas dan/atau kuantitas komunikasi terhadap perilaku seksual remaja. Subjek dalam jurnal penelitian adalah remaja atau pasangan orangtua-remaja. Hasil: Dari 10 artikel jurnal yang ditelaah, 9 di antaranya menunjukkan bahwa secara umum intensitas komunikasi antara orangtua dan remaja yang baik berperan penting dalam pencegahan perilaku seksual berisiko remaja. Kesimpulan: Intensitas komunikasi antara anak remaja dan orangtua memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap perilaku seksual remaja serta berperan penting dalam mencegah dan memprediksi perilaku seksual berisiko remaja. Peranan komunikasi orangtua-remaja perlu dipertimbangkan dalam pengembangan program promosi kesehatan reproduksi remaja.
English Abstract
Background: The prevalence of early sexual intercourse among female adolescent in Indonesia increased in 2017 (2%) compared to 2012 (1%). Previous studies have identificated that communication between parent and adolescent can be protective factor to adolescent reproductive and sexual health. Puspose: To identify the role of communication between adolescent and parent to adolescent sexual behavior based on literature review. Methods: This study is literature review using PICOT as analysis method. 10 reputable journal articles were obtained as sample from various online database such as Science Direct, PubMed, Springer, Wiley Online Library, and Google Scholar. The type of journal that being reviewed is original research article published in 2010-2020. The review journal explains the effect of communication intensity components include quality and/or quantity of communication to adolescent sexual behavior. The subject of study journals is adolescent or parentadolescent dyad. Result: 9 out of 10 reviewed journal articles show that positive communication intensity between parent and adolescent have important role to protect adolescent from risky sexual behavior. Conclusion: The communication intensity between adolescent and parent had a significant effect on adolescent sexual behavior. It also has important role to protect and predict adolescent risky sexual behavior. The role of parent-adolescent communication needs to be considered in adolescent reproductive health program development.
