Abstract
"Ikatan alumni merupakan salah satu aset terpenting yang dimiliki oleh institusi pendidikan dan tidak bisa diabaikan. Peran ikatan alumni dapat menjadi jalan dalam meningkatkan reputasi lembaga pendidikan di mata masyarakat. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan reputasi ikatan alumni dan lembaga pendidikan di mata masyarakat adalah dengan membuat suatu sistem informasi berbasis website yang di dalamnya terdapat informasi-informasi terkait ikatan alumni dari lembaga tersebut. Pengembangan sistem informasi ikatan alumni berbasis website akan lebih mudah jika dikembangkan dengan menggunakan arsitektur microservices. Arsitektur microservices memberikan keleluasaan bagi pengembang untuk mengembangkan suatu sistem dalam waktu yang cepat. Berkembangnya arsitektur microservices juga didukung oleh kurang handalnya arsitektur monolitik dalam menangani sistem failure. Arsitektur microservices memungkinkan untuk sistem dibangun dengan bahasa pemrograman yang berbeda dengan tujuan untuk menyesuaikan arsitektur dengan kebutuhan pada suatu layanan sistem tersebut. Dengan adanya pengembangan sistem ini, para alumni bisa menceritakan pengalamannya setelah lulus dari lembaga pendidikan tersebut. Sistem informasi ikatan alumni yang dikembangkan pada penelitian ini juga dapat diintegrasikan dengan sistem informasi siswa yang dimiliki oleh lembaga pendidikan yang bersangkutan."
English Abstract
The alumni association is one of the most important assets owned by educational institutions and cannot be ignored. The role of the alumni association can be a way to improve the reputation of educational institutions in the eyes of the community. One way to improve the reputation of alumni associations and educational institutions in the eyes of the public is to create a website-based information sistem in which there is information related to alumni associations from these institutions. The development of a website-based alumni association information sistem will be easier if it is developed using a microservices architecture. Microservices architecture provides flexibility for developers to develop a sistem in a fast time. The development of microservices architecture is also supported by the lack of reliability of monolithic architectures in dealing with sistem failures. Microservices architecture allows sistems to be built with different programming languages to adapt the architecture to the needs of a sistem service. With the development of this sistem, alumni can share their experiences after graduating from the educational institution. The alumni association information sistem developed in this study can also be integrated with the student information sistem owned by the educational institution concerned.
