Abstract
Kucing menjadi hewan peliharaan populer diseluruh penjuru dunia. Kucing peliharaan berbeda dengan kucing liar yang memiliki kemampuan bertahan hidup dialam bebas. Pengalaman merawat kucing selama 6 tahun silam, membuat penulis menyadari banyaknya kemiripan emosional kucing dengan penulis terlebih difase quarter life crisis atau krisis emosional 20 th-an seperti, rasa takut, cemas, dan waspada. Dalam penciptaan ini, penulis mengangkat kebiasaan buruk bermalas-malasan, tidur berlebihan, cemas berlebihan, perasaan takut akan masa depan , sulit bersosialisasi, merasa terancam, hingga tidak percaya diri, yang dialami penulis di fase quarter life crisis, dan direpresentasikan kedalam objek visual kucing. Dalam menciptakan karya seni cetak saring, penulis menggunakan tiga metode menurut Herman Von Helmholtz yaitu saturation, incubation, dan illumination. Penciptaan karya seni ini menghasilkan 7 buah karya seni cetak saring yang berjudul Sawang Sinawang, Useless, Everyday is Weekend, HERO, STOP, Hi, dan Scary Nights dengan ukuran dimensi kurang lebih 1 meter. Seluruh karya cenderung menggunakan warna primer yaitu, merah, kuning, biru, hitam, dan putih. Penciptaan ini merupakan hasil dari proses refleksi diri sekaligus sebagai terapi bagi penulis dan harapannya dapat menjadi informasi yang menarik bagi masyarakat mengenai quarter life crisis
English Abstract
Cats are popular pets all over the world. Pet cats are different from wild cats which have the ability to survive in the wild. The experience of caring for cats for the past 6 years has made the writer realize that there are many emotional similarities between cats and the author, especially during the quarter life crisis or emotional crisis of the 20s, such as fear, anxiety, and alertness. In this creation, the author raises bad habits of lazing, oversleeping, excessive anxiety, feelings of fear of the future, difficulty in socializing, feeling threatened, to lack of self-confidence, experienced by the author in the quarter life crisis phase, and is represented as a visual object of a cat. In creating screen printing artwork, the author uses three methods according to Herman Von Helmholtz, namely saturation, incubation, and illumination. The creation of this artwork resulted in 7 screen print artworks entitled Sawang Sinawang, Useless, Everyday is Weekend, HERO, STOP, Hi, and Scary Nights with dimensions of approximately 1 meter. All works tend to use primary colors, namely, red, yellow, blue, black, and white. This creation is the result of a process of self-reflection as well as therapy for the author and it is hoped that it can become interesting information for the public regarding the quarter life crisis.
