Abstract

Film adalah salah satu media paling popular dalam seni rupa yang dapat menghibur, mendidik, dan menginspirasi penonton dari cerita yang diperankan oleh aktor dan aktris. Hal ini menginspirasi penulis untuk untuk memilih film sebagai objek penelitiannya. Penindasan adalah salah satu fenomena yang sering terjadi disekeliling kita. Di film A Monster Calls, pemeran utama mengalami penindasan oleh beberapa teman dikelasnya. Penulis menganut teori Coloroso (2006) untuk penulisan penelitian ini. Didalam film penulis menemukan tiga jenis pemain penindasan, yaitu : Penindas, Korban Penindasan, dan Pengamat. Penulis juga menemukan tiga tipe penindasa, yaitu Penindasan Fisik, Penindasan Verbal, dan Penindasan Relational. Dengan melalui penelitian ini penulis berharap pembaca bisa memahami beberapa jenis tindakan penindasan dan penulis berharap penelitian ini bisa dijadikan pedoman untuk penelitian yang lain dengan meneliti jenis-jenis penindasan yang lain, yang belum diteliti oleh peneliti ini

English Abstract

Film is one of the most popular media in visual arts that can entertain, educate, and inspire audiences from stories played by actors and actresses. This inspired the writer to choose film as her research. Oppression is one of the most common phenomena around us. In the movie A Monster Calls, the main character is experienced by several friends in his class. In the film, the writer finds three types of player, that is : Bully, Bullied, and bystander. The author also finds three types of bullying, that is: Physical Bullying, Verbal Bullying, and Relational Bullying. The writer adheres to the theory of Coloroso (2006) for writing this research. Through this research, it is hope that the reader can understand several types of actions and the writer hope that this research can be used as a guide for other research by examining other types of research, which have not been studied by this research
