Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi yang sangat pesat membuat sebuah informasi mudah untuk didapat. Salah satu teknologi yang digunakan untuk memperoleh informasi adalah website. SMA N 5 Batam merupakan salah satu institusi pendidikan formal yang menggunakan website sebagai sarana penyedia informasi sekolah kepada seluruh guru dan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi tampilan desain antarmuka situs web SMAN 5 Batam saat ini dan melakukan perbaikan desain. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuisioner WEBUSE yang dibagikan kepada 30 responden dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Kuisioner ini berguna untuk mendapatkan kendala pada situs web SMAN 5 Batam saat ini sehinggat dapat menjadi acuan dalam memperbaiki desain antarmuka dengan menggunakan pendekatan Human Centered Design (HCD). Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan rekomendasi desain dan dapat meningkatkan tingkat usability dari situs web SMAN 5 Batam. Hasil evaluasi akhir terhadap rancangan perbaikan desain yang telah dibuat menunjukan adanya peningkatan tingkat usability , evaluasi awal secara keseluruhan menunjukan tingkat usability good dengan skor 0,67 dan evaluasi akhir secara keseluruhan menunjukan tingkat usability excellent dengan skor 0,84.
English Abstract
The growth of technology has made informations are easy to obtain.One of the technologies that can be use to obtain informations are website. SMAN 5 Batam is one of formal education institution that use a website as a tool to provide school information to all teachers and students. This study aims to evaluate the user interface design of SMAN 5 Batam official website and to make design improvements. The evaluation was carried out using the WEBUSE questionnaire which was distributed to 30 respondents using purposive sampling technique. This questionnaire is used for getting problems on the current website of SMAN 5 Batam so that it can be used as a reference in making design improvements using the human centered design (HCD) method. This study is expected to provide design recommendations and to improve the usability level of the SMAN 5 Batam official website.The result of final evaluation has showed the enhancement of the usability level, The overall usability value for the website user interface is currently 0.67 which means it's at a good level, and the usability evaluation results for the overall design solution are 0.84 which means it's at an excellent level. -
