Abstract
Penelitian ini menggunakan video music “Pretty Hurts” karya Beyonce sebagai objek penelitian dan berfokus pada bagaimana sikap aktris yaitu Beyonce sendiri dalam vidio musiknya. Peneliti melakukan penelitian ini dengan menonton vidio music berulang kali, serta memilih bagian mana yang dapat dianalisis apakah lirik dari music tersebut atau penggambaran visual dalam vidio musik. Peneliti juga menggunakan beberapa dialog yang telah digunakan dalam vidio musik yang sesuai dengan teori, penafsiran, dan kemudian peneliti menulis kesimpulan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk bagaimana standar kecantikan dalam hidup yang digambarkan dalam vidio music “Pretty Hurts” karya Beyonce sendiri. Hal ini penting dalam kehidupan kita sehari-hari bahwa penampilan fisik tidak dapat dipisahkan dari motivasi atau kebutuhan psikologi dan perilaku sehari-hari untuk menjadi cantik. Semua manusia memeliki perilaku dan sikap yang berbeda dan mereka juga memiliki motif yang berpeda yang memiliki peran penting dalam menentukan alasan mengapa manusia melakukan hal tersebut. Hal ini bisa juga dipicu dari reaksi dan sikap yang tergambar dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dari penelitian ini, peneliti lebih terfokus pada teori standar kecantikan dan penampilan fisik. Tentang menerima diri sendiri bahwa inilah diri Anda dan yang ingin anda lakukan bukan dari seseorang yang mengubah pilihan anda. Peneliti berharap agar penelitian ini dapat mengingatkan para pembaca bahwa menjadi diri sendiri dan berbangga pada diri sendiri bukan sesuatu yang memalukan dan untuk lebih mencintai dirinya sendiri
English Abstract
This research uses the music video "Pretty Hurts" by Beyonce as the object of the study and focuses on how the actress's attitude which is Beyonce herself in her music video. The researcher researches by watching the music video several times, choosing where the part that can be analyzed whether it is the lyrics of the music or the visual portrays in the music video. The researcher also using some dialogues that had been used in the music video which is suitable with the theories, interprets, and then the researcher writes the conclusion. This study aims about how the beauty standard issues are portrayed in the music video "Pretty Hurts" by Beyonce herself. It is becoming essential in our daily life that physical appearance emphasizes that humans cannot separate from psychology needs and behavior daily to become beautiful. All humans have different behavior and attitude and they are also has a different motive that has an important role in determining the reason why humans do something. It can also be from reactions and attitudes that are portrayed in their daily life. From this study, the researcher most focused on beauty standard issues, and physical appearances. About accepting yourself that this is who you are and the things that you want or from yourself not because someone told you to. The researcher wishes that this study will able to remind the readers that being yourself and being proud about who you are is not to be ashamed for and to love yourself more.
