Abstract
Biennale Jatim 6 merupakan acara Biennale dua tahunan yang di selenggarakan oleh Provinsi Jawa Timur pada tahun 2015, acara ini telah konsisten diselenggarakan dari tahun 2005 dan terus dikembangkan yang banyak menyuguhkan karya seni dari seniman local maupun internasional sebagai bentuk dari apresiasi terhadap karya seni dan seniman. Dalam pameran Biennale Jatim 6, partisipan perempuan tidak mencapai sepersepuluh dari total keseluruhan partisipan, maka dari itu penulis tertarik untuk membaca karya partisipan perempuan guna melihat, adakah kondisi tertentu terkait gender dalam seni yang disampaikan melalui karya, karya akan dibaca melalui pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes dan sosiologi Pierre Bourdieu. Kepenulisan ini akan memuat diantaranya: (1) melihat kecenderungan karya dan konsep penciptaan karya seni partisipan perempuan dalam pameran Biennal Jatim 6 (2) melihat adakah korelasi sosiologi gender dengan konsep ide penciptaan karya seni yang dipamerkan dalam Biennale Jatim 6
English Abstract
Biennale Jatim 6 is a biennial exhibition held by East Java Province in 2015, this event has been consistently held from 2005 and continues to be developed that presents many artworks from local and international artists as a form of appreciation for artworks and artists. In the exhibition Biennale Jatim 6, female participants did not reach one-tenth of the total participants, therefore the author was interested in reading the work of female participants to see, whether certain conditions related to gender in art delivered through kerya, the work will be read through the semiotics approach of Roland Barthes and sociology Pierre Bourdieu. This authorship will include: (1) looking at the tendency of works and concepts of creation of artworks of female participants in the exhibition Biennal Jatim 6, (2) see whether there is a correlation of gender sociology with the concept of the idea of creation of artworks exhibited in the East Java Biennale 6
