Abstract
Pandemi COVID-19 yang terjadi pada awal tahun 2020 telah merenggut ribuan nyawa hampir di seluruh belahan dunia termasuk Indonesia. Pemerintah Indonesia dituntut untuk membuat kebijakan dalam mencegah penyebaran COVID-19. Salah satu kebijakan yang dilakukan yaitu melakukan penutupan sekolah sehingga seluruh kegiatan belajar mengajar dilakukan di rumah. Namun, bukan tanpa kendala dalam implementasinya. Salah satunya yaitu belum meratanya Internet di setiap wilayah. Desa Jambearjo merupakan salah satu daerah yang belum memiliki akses internet secara merata. Siswa-siswi kesulitan dalam mengakses layanan belajar daring seperti video conference, video streaming, e-learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang penempatan access point pada Musholla Babul Hidayah Desa Jambearjo secara optimal, mengetahui metode manajemen bandwidth secara optimal dan mengetahui kinerja dari hotspot tersebut berdasarkan Quality of Service (QoS). Dalam melakukan penelitian ini diawali dengan desain lokasi yang akan dipasang jaringan hotspot selanjutnya melakukan simulasi penempatan access point yang akan dipasang nantinya menggunakan software Ekahau Site Survey. Setelah mengetahui hasil simulasi, dilakukan site survey menggunakan Netspot untuk mengetahui level sinyal dengan kondisi asli. Selanjutnya dilakukan proses konfigurasi mikrotik untuk pengaturan manajemen bandwidth. Ketika seluruhnya sudah selesai, dilakukan pengujian QoS pada jaringan tersebut menggunakan Speedtest dan Wireshark. Hasil dari penelitian yang sudah dilakukan yaitu berupa kinerja dari jaringan hotspot yang telah terpasang. Pengujian dilakukan selama 4 hari dengan waktu pengujian dari pukul 8.00 sampai dengan pukul 15.00 Dari ketiga parameter QoS, didapatkan hasil throughput pada profile warga memiliki throughput 1320 kbps, packet loss 0.665%, dan rata-rata delay sebesar 5.632 ms. Sedangkan untuk user profile vip memiliki throughput 3201 kbps, packet loss 0.55%, dan rata-rata delay sebesar 2.684 ms.

The COVID-19 pandemic that occurred in early 2020 has claimed thousands of lives in almost all parts of the world, including Indonesia. The Indonesian government is required to make policies to prevent the spread of COVID-19. One of the policies implemented is to close schools so that all teaching and learning activities are carried out at home. However, it is not without problems in its implementation. One of them is the uneven distribution of the Internet in every region. And Jambearjo Village is an area that has not been reached by the internet properly. Many students have problems accessing online learning services such as video conferencing, video streaming, e-learning. This study aims to design the optimal placement of access points, determine the optimal bandwidth management method and determine the performance of the hotspot based on Quality of Service (QoS). In conducting this research, it begins with the design of the location where the hotspot network will be installed, then simulates the placement of the access point that will be installed later using the Ekahau Site Survey software. After knowing the simulation results, a site survey was conducted using Netspot to determine the signal level with the original conditions. Then do the proxy configuration process for bandwidth management settings. When everything is complete, QoS testing is carried out on the network using Speedtest and Wireshark. The results of the research that has been done are in the form of the performance of the hotspot network that has been installed. The test was carried out for 4 days with a testing time from 8.00 to 15.00. From the three QoS parameters, the results of the throughput on the citizen profile have a throughput of 1320 kbps, packet loss of 0.665%, and an average delay of 5.684 ms.
