Abstract

Kota Jakarta hanya memiliki 16,19% Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) yang dimana belum memenuhi ketentuan pemerintah yaitu RTH memiliki luas 30% (10% area privat dan 20% area publik) dari luas area. Kurangnya jumlah RTH di Jakarta salah satunya disebabkan oleh peralihfungsian RTH menjadi area komersil yang dikarenakan ketidakfungsian RTH itu sendiri yang terjadi karena berbagai macam faktor salah satunya faktor termal, sehingga diperlukan adanya peningkatan kualitas lingkungan RTH. Peningkatan kualitas RTH pada perkotaan dapat memanfaatkan pembayangan yang dihasilkan gedung-gedung tinggi untuk mengurangi paparan langsung radiasi matahari pada lingkungan terbuka. Penelitian berlokasi di Taman Tribeca yang terletak di Jakarta Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan kausal komparatif dengan tujuan mencari hubungan sebab-akibat antar variabel penelitian, yaitu massa bangunan, bayangan gedung dan vegetasi, terhadap kondisi lingkungan termal taman. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa pembayangan yang dihasilkan pohon maupun gedung efektif menurunkan suhu udara 1,46°C hingga 2,30°C. Selain itu, didapatkan juga kesimpulan bahwa kerapatan bayangan, lama penyinaran, serta perbandingan antara ketinggian bangunan dan lebar taman menjadi faktor-faktor penentu pembayangan dan kenaikan atau penurunan suhu udara. English Abstract

DKI Jakarta only has 16.19% of Urban Green Space (UGS) which has not match the government regulations that regulates that urban green space has to take up about 30% (10% private area and 20% public area) from the total area. The lack of green spaces in Jakarta was caused by the conversion of UGS into a commercial area due to the malfunction of the UGS itself that occurs to various factors, one of them is thermal factors. Improving the quality of UGS can take advantage from the shadows that produced by tall buildings to reduce direct solar radiation exposure. This research was located in Tribeca Park in West Jakarta. This research/study used quantitative method with a comparative causal approach to find a causeand-effect relationship between each variables, such as building mass, and building’s and vegetation’s shadow on the park's thermal environmental conditions. From the results of the study, it was found that the shadows produced by trees and buildings effectively reduce the air temperature from 1.46°C to 2.30°C. In addition, it was also concluded that the density of the shadow, the length of exposure, and the ratio between the height of the building and the width of the park were the determining factors for shading and the increase or decrease in air temperature.
