Abstract

Kota Batu merupakan tujuan wisata terkemuka di Provinsi Jawa Timur yang juga termasuk destinasi wisata halal di Indonesia. Salah satu kriteria dalam mewujudkan wisata halal adalah sertifikasi halal. Sertifikasi halal bertujuan untuk memberikan kepastian kehalalan produk sehingga dapat menentramkan batin yang mengonsumsinya. Sebagian pelaku UKM keripik apel di Kota Batu belum mengerti manfaat sertifikasi halal, sehingga proses mewujudkan sertifikasi halal secara menyeluruh masih terkendala. Penelitian dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variabel teknologi, organisasi, dan lingkungan terhadap pengajuan sertifikasi halal UKM keripik apel Kota Batu. Partial Least Square (PLS) pada penelitian ini digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan antar variabel yang mempengaruhi pengajuan sertifikasi halal UKM Keripik apel di Kota Batu. Data diperoleh dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner ke 30 responden, yang terdiri dari pemilik dan satu orang pengelola dari tiap UKM di 15 UKM keripik apel Kota Batu. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan software SPSS dan SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel teknologi, organisasi dan lingkungan mampu menjelaskan model sebesar 84,7% sedangkan sisanya sebesar 15,3% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain. Variabel teknologi berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap pengajuan sertifikasi halal, variabel organisasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pengajuan sertifikasi halal serta variabel lingkungan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pengajuan sertifikasi halal. Nilai negatif pada variabel teknologi mengindikasikan bahwa pengaruh indikator aspek teknologi tidak mendorong produsen dalam upayavi memperoleh sertifikasi halal. Rekomendasi perbaikan antara lain diharapkan adanya inisiatif produsen UKM mencari informasi sertifikasi halal, membuat kebijakan halal dalam bentuk tertulis sebagai upaya dan komitmen untuk memproduksi produk halal secara konsisten serta adanya dukungan pemerintah yang perlu dimanfaatkan sebaik mungkin oleh produsen UKM keripik apel.

English Abstract

Batu City is a popular tourist destination in East Java Province and an Indonesian halal tourism attraction. Halal certification is one of the requirements for implementing halal tourism. The goal of halal certification is to offer assurance to people who consume halal foods. Some SME actors in apple chips in Batu city did not understand the benefits of halal certification, so the process of realizing halal certification as a whole was still constrained. The research was conducted to analyze the influence of technology, organization, and environmental variables on the submission of halal certification of SME apple chips in Batu City. The Partial Least Square (PLS) in this study was used to find out the relationship between variables that affect the application of halal certification of SME Apple chips in Batu City. The data was obtained by sharing a questionnaire with 30 respondents, consisting of the owners and one manager of each SME in 15 SMEs apple chips in Batu City. Data processing was done with SPSS and SmartPLS software. The results showed that technology, organization, and environmental variables were able to explain the model by 84.7%, while the remaining 15.3% was influenced by other variables. Technology variables negatively and significantly affect halal certification submissions. Organizational variables had a positive and significant effect on halal certification applications, and environmental variables had a positive and significant effect on halal certification submissions. Negative values on technology variables indicated that the influence of technological indicators did not encourage SMEs to obtain halal certification. Improvement recommendations included the expected initiative of SME producers to seek halal certification information, makingviii halal policies in written form as an effort and commitment to produce halal products consistently. Government support needs to be utilized as best as possible by SME producers of apple chips.
