Evaluasi Visual Display Papan Informasi Bandar Udara Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto dengan Usability Testing

Aninditya Haryani, Asri (2021) Evaluasi Visual Display Papan Informasi Bandar Udara Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto dengan Usability Testing. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

English Abstract

Landside infrastructure is an important aspect of aviation activities. This is because the airport terminal is a place that can accommodate the activities of all airport building users. At the Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto Airport Terminal there are various facilities that are often used by users, but some users often find it difficult to find the location of the existing public facilities even though it is APT. Pranoto Airport has provided 8 visual displays for directions information boards, of which there are 3 visual displays that have a low level of ease of understanding, namely the 1st Floor Plan Information Board, 2nd Floor Plan Information Board, and The Waiting Room and Departure Door Direction Information Board. Therefore, to find out these problems, further research was carried out on the level usability of problematic information boards with the help of feedback or feedback from users. The method used to solve the existing problems is using Usability Testing in the form of user-based testing and System Usability Scale (SUS) to measure user experience in the use of information boards. There are 4 parameters or quality matrices that are collected to assess usability, namely success rate, time a task requires, error rate, and user's subjective satisfaction. With the help of the usability task to test 3 problem information boards, and there are 4 data taken, namely the number of full and partial successes during task completion for the calculation of success rate, task completion time for calculating time a task requires, total defects and total opportunities for calculation. error rate, and SUS questionnaire scores to measure user's subjective satisfaction. In addition to setting the design direction, data collection is carried out regarding the problems felt by the user while completing the task. The results obtained are that there are several ranges of parameter values that are below the average, namely the 1st Floor Plan Information Board with an estimated success rate where there is a range of values below 78%, an error rate that is above 0.7, and the SUS score below 68 and on the 2nd Floor Plan Information Board with an estimated range of values error rate above 0.7, and the SUS score below 68. After that, recommendations for improvement are made with a design direction that refers to the problems felt by the users and testing the recommendations to compare the design of the existing visual display with recommendations for improvement. After the repairs were made, it was found that the estimated success rate on the recommendation for improvement of the 1st Floor Plan Information Board was above the average, the estimated error rate was below the average, and the SUS score was above the average and on the recommendation for improvement of the 2nd Floor Plan Information Board, it was found that the estimate was below the average, and the SUS score was above the average.
