Abstract
" Fenomena COVID-19 saat ini telah melahirkan adanya skema baru dalam dunia kerja yakni kebijakan work from home atau WFH. WFH dapat menjadi tantangan karena situasi yang terbilang cukup baru serta dilaksanakaan bersamaan dengan SFH (school from home) atau pembelajaran daring bagi anak-anak. Pada awalnya, setiap keluarga khususnya keluarga dengan orang tua pekerja dapat berpotensi merasakan stres dan kesulitan selama WFH sebagai bentuk penyesuaian baru atau situasi yang berbeda dibandingkan biasanya. Dibutuhkan adanya pola komunikasi antara anggota keluarga, baik ayah dan ibu serta komunikasi orang tua dan anak untuk mengatasi segala jenis perubahan tersebut. Fenomena tersebutlah yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi untuk melihat pengalaman hidup seseorang atas fenomena yang ia alami. Dengan menggunakan metode tersebut, peneliti dapat menggali data secara mendalam mengenai pengalaman dari sudut pandang informan. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan ialah wawancara mendalam karena cara tersebut sesuai untuk menggali pengalaman-pengalaman informan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat rutinitas baru yang tercipta dalam keluarga sebagai bentuk adanya komunikasi keluarga yang positif selama WFH. Bentuk rutinitas tersebut terbentuk melalui proses komunikasi dalam hal pembagian peran dan tanggung jawab antara anggota keluarga serta senantiasa memberikan pengertian terkait setiap peran dan tanggung jawab selama WFH. Supervisor: Sinta Swastikawara, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom The current COVID-19 phenomenon has resulted in a new scheme in the world of work, namely the work from home or WFH policy. WFH can be a challenge because the situation is quite new and is being held simultaneously with SFH (school from home) or online learning for children. Initially, working parents can potentially feel stress and difficulty in achieving work family balance during WFH because they have to complete their office and home obligations, and continue to guide their children in a balanced in the same time and place. It takes a division of roles and responsibilities between father and mother as well as communication between parents and children to support the creation of a work family balance during WFH. This phenomenon is the background of this research. This research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological method that is used to see a person's life experience of the phenomenon he is experiencing. Using these methods can explore data in depth about the experience from the point of view of the informant. In-depth interviews are used as a way to explore data, this method is compatible because it is concerned with the experiences of informants. The results of this study indicate that there are new routines created in the family as a form of positive family communication during WFH. This form of routine is formed through a communication process in terms of the division of roles and responsibilities between family members and always provides understanding regarding each role and responsibility during WFH.
