Abstract

Kota Yogyakarta merupakan salah satu Kota pada Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta yang termasuk banyak dikunjungi wisatawan baik lokal maupun mancanegara. Koridor kawasan Jalan Malioboro menjadi salah satu destinasi wisata saat mengunjungi Kota Yogyakarta. Banyaknya wisatawan dan kurangnya penataan yang baik pada Koridor Jalan Malioboro, terutama ruang jalur pejalan kaki, memicu dilakukan pembenahan. Kemudian pada tahun 2018 pemerintah Kota Yogyakarta melakukan arahan penataan Jalan Malioboro menjadi kawasan jalur pejalan kaki (RTRW Kota Yogyakarta pasal 80 ayat 2). Penataan ini berfokus pada penataan jalur pejalan kaki, dan beberapa penataan pendukung seperti pedagang, dan mempercantik kawasan sekitar jalur pejalan kaki. Penataan ini tentunya akan berdampak pada pola pemanfaatan ruang. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk melihat bagaimana pola pemanfaatan ruang setelah dilakukannya penataan pada koridor Jalan Malioboro terutama pada jalur pejalan kaki. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif - kualitatif dengan menggunakan analisis behavior mapping yakni metode analisis placed centered mapping. Hasil pola pemanfaatan ruang menunjukkan pola yang terdapat pada jalur pejalan kaki koridor Jalan Malioboro adalah pola linear cluster, dengan faktor pembentuk pola dipengaruhi oleh kondisi setting fisik yang ada, serta pelaku aktivitas didalamnya.

English Abstract

Malioboro Street corridor is a tourist attraction for domestic and foreign tourists. Moreover, this area is an economic area for people around Malioboro Street and local residents. The arrangement of Malioboro Street corridor area such as street repairs, and renovation or reorganization of pedestrian paths. The repairment occurs in two stages. The first stage and the object of research began at the east end of the pedestrian path close to The Grand Inna Hotel, to the end of the pedestrian path close to the intersection of point 0 KM Yogyakarta City, and the Museum of Fort Vredeburg. By this arrangement allows for a change in the pattern of utilization of space on the pedestrian path. based on the information obtained before the repairment, the pedestrian path in the corridor of Malioboro Street was not in good condition, and not used as it should be: pedestrian paths was used as parking area for motorcycle, the unavailability of special good lanes for pedestrians, and the lack of organized cadger (PKL). The arrangement carried out by the Yogyakarta City Government aims to restore the function of pedestrian space as it should be, namely as a special pathway for pedestrians provider who visit Malioboro area. Good arrangement certainly affects the activities that occur in it. It also supports the creation of utilization patterns on pedestrian paths. The arrangements that have been done such as the addition of various physical formation elements of pedestrian path such as special features, street furniture, signage, vegetation, and the organization of seller become elements that affect the utilization patterns that exist in either visitors or the surrounding community. The existing usage patterns was done by behavior mapping method and analyzed place centered mapping also annotated diagrams so that the utilization pattern that occurs can be seen.
