Abstract

Kepuasan pengguna dalam menggunakan sebuah situs dapat dilihat dari usability atau kemudahan situs ketika digunakan. Website Virtual Learning Management Universitas Brawijaya merupakan website yang dikembangkan guna melayani kebutuhan mahasiswa seperti layanan mendapatkan materi yang telah disampaikan di kelas oleh dosen, mengerjakan kuis, serta mengumpulkan tugas. Namun, terdapat permasalahan dalam situs Virtual Learning Management Universitas Brawijaya yang dapat memengaruhi kepuasan pengguna terhadap situs. Permasalahan yang terjadi seperti desain situs yang tidak responsive apabila diakses pada perangkat bergerak. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan evaluasi usability guna menemukan permasalahan dan membuat perbaikan sehingga dapat memenuhi kebutuhan dan kepuasan pengguna. Tujuan dilakukannya evaluasi ini adalah untuk mengetahui permasalaan usability, memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan usability, serta mengetahui perbandingan hasil evaluasi sebelum dan setelah dilakukan rekomendasi perbaikan. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Heuristic Evaluation. Tujuan dari metode ini adalah untuk menemukan permasalahan-permasalahan usability. Pengujian ini dilakukan oleh 3 evaluator yang merupakan seorang expert yang berpegang pada 13 prinsip heuristik yang telah disediakan. Selain itu, juga dilakukan penggalian masalah dan penilaian kuantitatif dari mahasiswa sebagai pengguna situs menggunakan kuesioner System Usability Scale(SUS). Hasil dari heuristic evaluation ditemukan 13 permasalahan dan juga rekomendasi yang menjadi bahan perbaikan. Perbaikan yang dilakukan didasarkan pada rekomendasi expert dan guidelines. Hasil dari pengujian setelah perbaikan, temuan masalah menurun dari 13 menjadi 5 temuan masalah serta naiknya skor SUS dari 44,17 menjadi 71. Temuan dari heuristic evaluation dan skor SUS menunjukkan adanya perbaikan dari situs setelah dilakukan evaluasi.

English Abstract

User satisfaction in using a site can be seen from usability or ease the site in use. Brawijaya University's Virtual Learning Management website is a website developed to serve students ' needs such as the service of obtaining material that has been delivered in class by lecturers, taking quizzes, and collecting assignments. However, there are problems in the site Virtual Learning Management of Brawijaya University that can affect the user satisfaction of the site. Problems that occur like site designs are not responsive when accessed on mobile devices. Therefore, evaluation of usability to find problems and make improvements so that it can meet the needs and satisfaction of users. The purpose of this evaluation is to determine the problem of usability, provide recommendations for improvements that can be done to overcome the usability problem, and to compare the results of evaluations before and after recommendations for improvement. Evaluation is done using the Heuristic Evaluation method. The purpose of this method is to find usability issues. This test was conducted by 3 evaluators who are experts who adhere to 13 heuristic principles that have been provided. In addition, there is also excavation of problems and quantitative assessment of students as site users using the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire. The results of the heuristic evaluation found 13 problems and also the recommendations that became the material improvement. The improvements made are based on expert recommendation and guidelines. Results of testing after repairs, the findings of the issue decreased from 13 to 5 problem findings and the rise of the SUS score from 44.17 to 71. The findings of the heuristic evaluation and the SUS score indicate an improvement of the site after evaluation.
