Purwanto, Arief and Ir. Heru Nurwarsito, M.Kom. (2020) Analisis Perbandingan Kinerja Reactive Routing Protocol Dan Proactive Routing Protocol Pada Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) Berdasarkan Mobility Model. Magister thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
MANET has two main types of routing protocols, namely reactive routing protocols and proactive routing protocols. The AODV routing protocol is an example of a reactive routing protocol. The OLSR and DSDV routing protocols are part of the proactive routing protocol. The mobility model has a big impact on the performance of the routing protocol because it can determine the success of the routing. The Random Waypoint Mobility Model (RWP) and the Random Walk Mobility Model (RW) have similarities in the pattern of node movement that takes place randomly. However, on the mobility of the RW model, there is no time lag. The difference between these two mobility models can affect the performance of the routing protocol. This study analyzes the performance of reactive routing protocols and proactive routing protocols when tested based on the mobility of the RWP and RW models using Network Simulator 3.29. The results of the research on RWP showed that the performance of the AODV routing protocol was superior to the PDR test parameter of 92.94% and packet loss of 7.06%. OLSR routing protocol excels in the throughput test parameter of 6.87 Kbps. The DSDV routing protocol excels in the delay test parameter of 29.93 ms. While the results of research on RW showed that the performance of the AODV routing protocol was superior to the PDR test parameter of 92.81%, delay of 27.96 ms, and packet loss of 7.19%. OLSR routing protocol excels in the throughput test parameter of 6.07 Kbps.
