Abstract

Jumlah penduduk di Indonesia sekitar 260 juta dengan pertumbuhan meningkat tiap tahun. Meningkatnya penduduk menyebabkan jumlah sampah yang dihasilkan meningkat. Sampah yang dibuang ke TPA dengan sistem open dumping (tidak ditutup) berpotensi menjadi sumber gas metana. TPA jenis open dumping harus ditutup atau ditingkatkan sistemnya. TPA Randuagung memakai sistem open dumping namun penentuan sistem tidak memilki metode yang jelas. Peningkatan ke controlled landfill perlu dilakukan karena secara biaya, fasilitas, dan SDM lebih memungkinkan. Gas metana merupakan kandungan biogas jika dimanfaatkan mencegah pemanasan global dan menjadi energi alternatif. Pemanfaatan biogas memberi peningkatan ekonomi rumah tangga, mengurangi bau, dan potensi kebakaran. Masyarakat sekitar TPA Randuagung menolak memanfaatkan biogas. Penerimaan publik terhadap pembangkit listrik tenaga angin di Hebrides menunjukkan jika keuntungan ekonomi didapat masyarakat, tingkat penerimaan naik. Diperlukan penentuan status TPA, perhitungan biogas, dan potensi ekonomi biogas agar masyarakat mau menerima biogas. Hasil penilaian sistem adalah open dumping dengan rekomendasi pada beberapa kriteria. Hasil zonasi TPA terdapat pola ruang tidak sesuai. Perhitungan produksi biogas dikurangi kebutuhan masyarakat Desa Randuagung dan Toyomarto setahun tersisa 25.356.656,72 m3. Perhitungan potensi ekonomi pemanfaatan biogas 90% lebih hemat dibanding biaya energi sebelumnya. Penelitian merekomendasikan TPA Randuagung melakukan sosialisasi potensi ekonomi ke masyarakat.

English Abstract

The population in Indonesia is around 260 million with growth increasing every year. The increase in population causes the amount of waste generated to increase. Waste dumped into the landfill with an open dumping system has the potential to become a source of methane gas. Open dumping landfill must be closed or upgraded. TPA Randuagung uses an open dumping system but the determination of the system does not have a clear method. Improvement to controlled landfills needs to be done because in terms of cost, facilities, and human resources it is more possible. Methane gas is a biogas content if used to prevent global warming and become an alternative energy. The use of biogas provides an increase in the household economy, reduces odor, and the potential for fire. Communities around the Randuagung Landfill refuse to use biogas. Public acceptance of wind power plants in Hebrides shows that if the economic benefits are obtained by the community, the level of revenue rises. TPA status determination, biogas calculation and biogas economic potential are needed so that people are willing to accept biogas. The results of the system assessment are open dumping with recommendations on several criteria. The result of landfill zoning is that the spatial pattern is not appropriate. The calculation of biogas production is reduced by the needs of the people of Randuagung and Toyomarto Villages for the remaining 25,356,656.72 m3 a year. Calculation of the economic potential of using biogas is 90% more efficient than the previous energy costs. The study recommends the Randuagung Landfill to disseminate economic potential to the community.
