Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui daya dukung fisik dan daya dukung ekologi ekowisata pada ekosistem akuatik dan terestrial di Pantai Kondang Merak, serta mengatahui pengaruh kegiatan wisata terhadap kelestarian biodiversitas di Kondang Merak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dilakukan persiapan, studi pendahuluan, dan observasi. Kemudian dilakukan wawancara untuk mendapatkan data secara kualitatif, dan dianalisis untuk mendapatkan data kuantitaif. Analisis data menggunakan analisis Daya Dukung Fisik dan Daya Dukung Ekologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai daya dukung fisik kegiatan selam yaitu 3 orang/hari sedangkan daya dukung ekologi selam yaitu 2 orang/hari. Perhitungan daya dukung fisik untuk kegiatan snorkeling yaitu sebanyak 40 orang/hari dan memiliki daya dukung ekologi sebanyak 15 orang/hari. Selain itu daya dukung kegiatan wisata terrestrial memiliki nilai daya dukung fisik sebanyak 1000 orang/hari, sedangkan daya dukung ekologi sebanyak 250 orang/hari. Jumlah wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Kondang Merak mengalami peningkatan, namun kondisi lingkungan, kelestarian ekosistem, kondisi terumbu karang dan ikan hias masih baik. Selain itu masih banyak spesies hewan dan tumbuhan yang dapat ditemukan di Kondang Merak. Hewan yang sering ditemukan antara lain lutung (Trachypithecus auratus), elang jawa (Nisaetus bartelsi) dan elang bondol (Haliastur indus). Sedangakn jenis-jenis tumbuhan yang banyak ditemukan seperti kelapa (Cocos nucifera), ketapang (Terminalia catappa), dan mahoni kuning (Dysoxylum parasiticum). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai daya dukung fisik ekowisata akuatik dan terrestrial lebih besar diabandingkan daya dukung ekologi. Selain itu kondisi lingkungan di Kondang Merak masih baik.

English Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the physical carrying capacity and ecotourism carrying capacity of aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems in Kondang Merak Beach, and to know the effect of tourism activities on biodiversity conservation in Kondang Merak. The method used in this research is preparation, preliminary study, and observation. Then interviews were conducted to obtain data qualitatively, and analyzed to obtain quantitative data. Data analysis uses analysis of Physical Carrying Capacity and Ecology Carrying Capacity. The results showed that the physical carrying capacity of diving activities was 3 people / day while the carrying capacity of diving activity ecology was 2 person / day. Physical carrying capacity for snorkeling activities is 40 people / day and an ecological carrying capacity of 15 person / day. In addition, the physical carrying capacity of terrestrial tourism activities 1000 people / day, while the ecological carrying capacity of 250 people / day. The number of tourists visiting Kondang Merak has increased, but environmental conditions, ecosystem sustainability, the condition of coral reefs and fish are still good. In addition there are still many species of animals and plants that can be found in the Kondang Merak. Animals that are often found include Lutung (Trachypithecus auratus), Javanese eagle (Nisaetus bartelsi) and Bondol eagle (Haliastur indus). While the types of plants that are found such as coconut (Cocos nucifera), ketapang (Terminalia catappa), and yellow mahogany (Dysoxylum parasiticum). So it can be concluded that the physical carrying capacity of aquatic and terrestrial ecotourism is greater than the carrying capacity of ecology. In addition, environmental conditions in Kondang Merak are still good.
