Abstract
Untuk meningkatkan dan mendukung sektor wisata sebagai pusat ekonomi Tulungagung, Sungai Ngrowo menjadi salah satu objek yang dikembangkan. Pembangunan Ngrowo Waterfront oleh Pemerintah Kabupaten Tulungagung untuk menjadi destinasi wisata belum maksimal karena kurang atraktif baik dari segi aspek fisik maupun aspek sarana dan prasarana. Dengan menyajikan banyak sarana meliputi rekreasi, olah raga, perdagangan, dan edukasi, kawasan ini masih dianggap belum memenuhi sebagai kawasan wisata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kualitas ruang luar kawasan tersebut sebagai destinasi wisata ditinjau dari persepsi publik. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif-kualitatif dan kuantitatif ditinjau dari persepsi publik. Hasil penelitian yang akan diperoleh berupa analisa kualitas ruang luar pada Ngrowo Waterfront sebagai destinasi wisata.
English Abstract
To raise and support tourism sector as economic center of Tulungagung, Ngrowo River becomes one of the developed object. Tulungagung Government initiated the development of Ngrrowo Waterfront to be a tourism destination can not be on the top condition because lack of attractive both in terms of the facilities aspect and the infrastructures aspects. Including recreation, sports, market, and education, this area can not be called as tourism yet. This study aims to examinethe quality of landscapethe the area as a tourism destination in terms of public perceptions. This research based on descriptive-quantitave and qualitiative researce method in terms of public perceptions. The results of the study will be obtained in the forms of analysis of landscape quality of the object as a tourism destination.
