Abstract
Laktat amida merupakan hasil sintesis alkilamida dari asam laktat dengan urea secara enzimatis menggunakan katalis enzim lipase yang diamobilkan dengan matriks kitosan dengan metode penjebakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kondisi optimum sintesis alkilamida dari asam laktat dan urea berdasarkan dua parameter. Reaksi esterifikasi dilakukan dengan variasi waktu reaksi (6, 12, 24, 36, 48) jam dan rasio mol asam laktat : urea (1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4, 1:5) hingga didapatkan kondisi optimum berdasarkan persen konversi. Produk laktat amida diidentifikasi dengan spektrofotometer FTIR dan dikarakterisasi melalui nilai Hidrophilic-Lipophilic Balance (HLB). Hasil penelitian didapatkan pada kondisi optimum yaitu waktu reaksi 6 jam dan rasio mol (1:5) dengan persen konversi sebesar 25,57 ± 0,77% serta nilai HLB ada pada rentang 7-8 yang termasuk dalam emulsifier jenis agen pembasah. Selain itu, spektra FTIR diduga akan tampak serapan yang kuat pada bilangan gelombang 3422,36 - 3300 cm-1 (NH2), 3020,35 cm-1 (C=H), 2928,85; 2856,09 cm-1 (C-H), 2400,68 cm-1 (C-C), 1623,77 cm-1 (C=O), 1424,02 cm-1 (C-N) yang merupakan serapan khas dari alkilamida yang terbentuk.
English Abstract
Lactic amide is the result of the synthesis of alkylamide from lactic acid with urea enzymatically using immobilized lipase enzyme catalyst that immobilized with chitosan matrix with entrapment method. This study aims were to determine the optimum condition of synthesis alkylamide from lactic acid and urea based on two parameters. The esterification reaction was done by varying reaction time (6, 12, 24, 36, 48) hours and mol ratio of lactic acid :urea (1: 1, 1: 2, 1: 3, 1: 4, 1: 5) until to obtain the optimum conditions based on conversion percentage. The produced lactic amide were identified by FTIR spectrophotometer and characterized by the value of Hydrophilic-Lipophilic Balance (HLB). The results were obtained at optimum conditions on reaction time 6 hours and mol ratio of lactic acid : urea (1:5) resulting in conversion percentage of 25.57 ± 0.77% and HLB values of 7-8 that was included in the emulsifier of wetting agent type. In addition, the FTIR spectra were predicted that appear a strong absorption at wave numbers 3422.36-3300 cm-1 (NH2), 3020.35 cm-1 (C=H), and 2928.85 ; 2856.09 cm-1 (C-H), 2400.68 cm-1 (C-C), 1623.77 cm-1 (C=O), 1424.02 cm-1 (C-N) which indicated as the characteristic absorption of alkylamide.
