Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara yang memiliki bambu lebih dari 100 spesies. Bambu berpotensi sangat besar untuk digunakan sebagai bahan makanan, kerajinan tangan, untuk membuat alat musik, dan untuk membuat peralatan dapur. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui jenis-jenis tanaman bambu di Desa Pandansari, Kecamatan Poncokusumo dan mengetahui pemanfaatan bambu bagi masyarakat Desa Pandansari, Kecamatan Poncokusumo. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan etnobotani dengan melalui survey identifikasi jenis-jenis bamboo dan wawancara semi terstruktur. Survey identifikasi jenis jenis bamboo dilakukan di wilayah Desa Pandansari. Pemilihan responden dilakukan dengan teknik snowball sampling. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif disajikan dalam bentuk deskripsi, sedangkan data kuantitatif dianalisis berdasarkan indeks botani menggunakan rumus Relative Frequency of Citation (RFC) dan Relative Important Indeks (RI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Desa Pandansari memiliki 8 jenis bambu antara lain Bambu Apus (Gigantochloa apus), Bambu Jabal (Schizostachyum brachycladum), Bambu Rampal (Schizostachyum zollingeri), Bambu Jajang (Giganthocloa nigrocillata), Bambu Petung (Dendrocalamus asper), Bambu Ampel (Bambusa vulgaris), Bambu Ori (Bambusa blumeana), dan Bambu Kuning (Bambusa vulgaris var. Striata). Manfaat masing - masing bambu tersebut sangat beragam antara lain untuk kegiatan spiritual, bahan makanan, perabotan rumah tangga, dan bahan bangunan. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa RFC dari 8 spesies bambu hampir sama yaitu sebesar 1 kecuali pada bambu kuning nilai RFC-nya sebesar 0,09. Nilai RI tertinggi yaitu bambu apus sebesar 1,18, sedangkan yang terendah yaitu bambu kuning sebesar 0,56.

English Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has more than 100 species of bamboo. Bamboo has enormous potential to be used as food, handicrafts, to make musical instruments, and to make kitchen utensils. The purpose of this study is to find out the types of bamboo plants in Pandansari Village, Poncokusumo District and determine the use of bamboo for the Pandansari Village community, Poncokusumo District. This research was carried out using the ethnobotany approach by surveying identification of bamboo species and semi-structured interviews. An identification survey of bamboo species was conducted in the Pandansari Village area. The selection of respondents is done by snowball sampling technique. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Qualitative data are presented in the form of descriptions, while quantitative data are analyzed based on the botanical index using the formula Relative Frequency of Citation (RFC) and Relative Important Index (RI). The results showed that Pandansari Village had 8 types of bamboo including apus Apus Bamboo (Gigantochloa apus), Jabal Bamboo (Schizostachyum brachycladum), Rampal Bamboo (Schizostachyum zollingeri), Jajang Bamboo (Giganthocloa nigrocillata), Petung Bamboo (Dendrocalamus asper), Ampel Bamboo (Bambusa vulgaris), Ori Bamboo (Bambusa blumeana), and Yellow Bamboo (Bambusa vulgaris var. Striata). The benefits of each bamboo are very diverse, among others, for spiritual activities, food, household furniture, and building materials. The results also showed that the RFCs of 8 bamboo species were almost the same, namely 1 except for the yellow bamboo RFC value of 0.09. The highest RI value is apus bamboo at 1.18, while the lowest is yellow bamboo at 0.56.
