Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara sikap terhadap berita hoax dengan kepercayaan seseorang terhadap Lembaga KPU pada Pemilu 2019. Penelitian ini melibatkan 548 responden yang merupakan warga negara Indonesia dan telah mengikuti proses Pemilu minimal satu kali dalam hidupnya. Partisipan tersebut diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. KPU Trust diukur dengan menggunakan skala KPU Trust (Akhrani, 2019) yang mengacu pada penelitian Lewicki, McAllister, & Bies (1998). Sikap terhadap berita hoax diukur dengan skala Sikap terhadap berita hoax (Akhrani, 2019) yang mengacu pada teori Secord dan Backman dalam (Azwar, 2005). Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pearson product moment. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan ada hubungan positif dan signifikan antara sikap terhadap berita hoax dengan KPU trust pada Pemilu 2019.
English Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between attitudes towards hoax news with one's trust in the KPU Institute in the 2019 Elections. This study involved 548 respondents who were Indonesian citizens and had followed the Election process at least once in their lives. The participants were obtained using accidental sampling technique. KPU Trust is measured using the KPU Trust scale (Akhrani, 2019) which refers to the research of Lewicki, McAllister, & Bies (1998). Attitudes towards hoax news are measured by the scale of attitudes towards hoax news (Akhrani, 2019) which refers to the theory of Secord and Backman in (Azwar, 2005). The data analysis of this study used the Pearson product moment technique. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between attitude towards hoax news with the KPU trust in the 2019 elections.
