Abstract
Kematangan karir merupakan tahap perkembangan karir individu yang ditandai dengan kesiapan individu dalam meraih karir di masa depan. Menurut Savickas (2011) terdapat 4 dimensi dalam kematangan karir yaitu, concern, curiosity, self confidence, dan consultation. Sekolah merupakan lembaga yang mempersiapkan individu dalam membuat pilihan karir. Jenis sekolah di Indonesia dibagi menjadi SMA dan SMK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kematangan karir pada siswa SMA dan siswa SMK. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian komparatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa aktif kelas XII SMA dan SMK yang berumur 15-18 tahun. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan adalah skala kematangan karir CMI form C yang diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa indonesia. Uji hipotesis perbedaan kematangan karir antara siswa SMA dan siswa SMK didapatkan nilai p-value 0,824 (>0.05) yang disimpulkan tidak terdapat perbedaan kematangan karir antara pelajar SMA dan SMK.
English Abstract
Career maturity is a stage of individual career development marked by the readiness of individuals to achieve career in the future. According to Savickas (2011) there are 4 dimensions in career maturity; concern, curiosity, self confidence, and consultation. Schools are institutions which prepare individuals to make choices in their career.The types of schools in Indonesia are divided into high schools and vocational schools. This study aims to determine differences in career maturity between high school students and vocational school students. This research is a comparative study using quantitative approach in the process. The population in this study were active students of class XII high school and vocational school aged 15-18 years old. The research instrument used was the scale of career maturity of CMI form C which translated into Indonesian. In the hypothesis testing about the differences in career maturity between high school students and vocational school students ,the author obtained result that p-value of 0.824 (> 0.05) which concluded that there was no difference in career maturity between high school students and vocational school students.
