Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan mengenai faktor pendorong Indonesia melakukan Bilateral Trade Agreement dengan Azerbaijan melalui perumusan mengenai Indonesia-Azerbaijan Investment Guarantee Agreement yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kerjasama antara Indonesia dan Azerbaijan dalam sektor Investasi. Saat ini perjanjian tersebut telah mencapai tahap finalisasi dan direncanakan akan ditandatangi pada kunjungan pertama presiden Azerbaijan ke Indonesia pada akhir tahun 2020. Penulis menganalisis faktor pendorong Indonesia melakukan Bilateral Trade Agreement dengan Azerbaijan menggunakan konsep Bilateral Trade Agreement oleh Jayant Menon. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis kualitatif dan bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan faktor pendorong Indonesia melakukan perjanjian tersebut dimana dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa faktor general dan faktor spesifik yang terbukti menjadi faktor pendorong Indonesia merumuskan perjanjian tersebut.

English Abstract

This Research discusses about the factors driving indonesia to enter into a Bilateral Trade Agreement with Azerbaijan through the formulation of the IndonesiaAzerbaijan Investment Guarantee Agreement aimed at increasing cooperation between Indonesia and Azerbaijan in the Investment sector. At present this agreement has reached finalization and the agreement will be signed on the first visit of the president of Azerbaijan to Indonesia at the end of 2020. The author analyzes the motivating factors for Indonesia to make a Bilateral Trade Agreement with Azerbaijan using the concept of a Bilateral Trade Agreement by Jayant Menon. This study uses a qualitative type and aims to describe the driving factors of Indonesia entering into an agreement in which the results of the study indicate general factors and specific factors that prove to be the driving factors for Indonesia to formulate the agreement.
