Rahma, Aidatur (2020) Penggunaan Fitoplankton untuk Pemantauan Keberhasilan Proses Fitoremediasi Air Lindi Tempat Pemrosesan Akhir Talangagung, Kec. Kepanjen, Malang. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
Status trofik berdasarkan TDI tergolong hyper-eutrophic, sedangkan berdasarkan nilai %PTV menggambarkan air lindi tercemar bahan organik. Kata Kunci : Air lindi, fitoplankton, fitoremediasi, polikultur
English Abstract
The study aims to determine the polyculture potential of Alternanthera paronychioides, Cyperus iria and Lepironia articulata as phytoremediation agents to improve the quality of leachate water based on the physical and chemical properties of water and phytoplankton as bioindicators. Experimental research (CRD) with five treatments and four replications (polyculture with 25, 50,and 75% cover area and two control treatments namely substrate media plus leachate without plants, and leachate water). Plant acclimatization (3 months) is carried out before the treatment of leachate treatment by planting polyculture on sand substrate media (height 5 cm) and gravel (height 10 cm) and addition of well water. Each treatment unit was incubated for 12 days in a greenhouse. Leachate water quality that was observed DO, pH, turbidity and conductivity were monitored every four days and phytoplankton sampling on the 12 day. Data for each parameter were analyzed by different tests and Cluster and Biplot analyzes were performed. The results showed that planting of polyculture for 12 days able to improve the quality of leachate water reflected from increasing the value of DO (39%) and pH and decreasing turbidity (21.3%). The improvement of leachate water quality as phytoplankton growth habitat was characterized by the highest taxa richness value found in plant polyculture treatment of 25% (8 species). Tolerant species that were commonly found included Nitzschia sp., Navicula sp. and Oscillatoria sp. Based on the value of H and D, leachate water quality from the phytoremediation process was still classified as contaminated by toxic substances. Trophic status based on TDI was classified as hyper-eutrophic, while based on the value of % PTV was categorized as polluted by organic matter.
