Abstract
Tujuan awal dibuat mesin DMP-PJ1 menggunakan satu silinder pemipil untuk pengupilnya dan motor listrik 0,186 kW untuk penggeraknya diharapankan output maksimal dengan budget yang minimal. Layaknya suatu mesin baru diperlukan pengujian sesuai standart yang berlaku. Salah satu standart uji kinerja mesin mepipil jagung yaitu pada perputaran silinder pemipilnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh rpm silinder pemipil terhadap kinerja mesin pemipil jagung DMP-PJ1 dan terhadap kebutuhan daya listrik. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan 2 faktor, yaitu faktor 1 yaitu Varietas Jagung (A1=TA-33; A2= BISI-18) dan faktor 2 kecepatan putar mesin (B1=1100 rpm; B2=1300 rpm; B3= 1500 rpm) setiap kombinasi diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Pebedaan setting rpm motor yang membuat nilai kecepatan pheriperal motor berbeda, serta berpengaruh terhadap nilai indikator uji performansi. Nilai kebutuhan daya mesin DMP-PJ1 pada putaran mesin 1100 hingga 1500 rpm dengan yaitu 0.2567 kWh hingga 0.498667 kWh.
English Abstract
The machine DMP-PJ1 was made by using a single cylinder sheller as the picker and by using electric motor 0.186 kW as the booster. It is meant to produce maximal output with minimal budget. This machine was also administered to a feasibility test by following applicable standard, which is engine performance test on the engine cylinder rotation. The aim of this study is to discover the effect of cylinder sheller’s rpm on corn sheller machine’s performance and onto electrical power necessity. Two factors was involved in this study such as corn varieties (A1=TA-33; A2= BISI-18) and engine rotating speed (B1=1100 rpm; B2=1300 rpm; B3= 1500 rpm). In addition, the researcher had repeated the test for three times for each combination to ensure the result. Different setting on motor rpm made a difference value on the peripheral motor speed. It was also affecting the value of performance test indicator. The value of electrical power necessity on DPM-PJ1 machine at machine rotation 1100 up to 1500 rpm was 0.2567 kWh up to 0.498667 kWh.
