Putri, Nurlaila Rhaenita (2019) Pengaruh Dosis Limbah Cair Peternakan Sapi Dan Tinggi Genangan Air Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Tanaman Padi (Oryza Sativa). Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
Jumlah kebutuhan susu sapi yang terus meningkat, menimbulkan produsen perusahaan susu sapi menambah jumlah sapi perahnya. Meningkatnya sapi perah suatu perusahaan, akan menimbulkan permasalahan lingkungan akibat limbah peternakan. Satu ekor sapi setiap harinya menghasilkan kotoran berkisar 8-10 kg.
English Abstract
The increasing demand for cow milk encouraged cow milk producers to have more dairy cows. Higher number of dairy cows in a milk factory would lead to environmental problems resulting from cow manure. A dairy cow excretes around 8-10 kg cow manure. This cow manure evaporates methane gas that smells unpleasant. The methane gas also contributes to the global warming and it accelerate the damage in the ozone layer by 1% per year. It was considered necessary to apply proper treatment for the cow manure. Cow manure can be utilized as liquid organic fertilizer. This research utilized the liquid waste from cattle farm to be used as fertilizer for paddy plants. This action was a green revolution to minimize the environmental damage caused by the use of excessive pesticides. This experimental research was conducted using completerandomized factorial design. Samples were given different dosages of liquid waste from cattle farm of 8 l/m², 16 l/m² and 24 l/m², and different height of water puddle of 2.5 cm, 5 cm, and 7.5 cm. It has been found in this research that the use of liquid waste from cattle farm and water puddle height showed significant effect to the plant height and the production of the paddy plants, yet none of them had been found to affect the number of leaves and tillers. Giving dosages of liquid waste from cattle farm 24 l/ m² with 2.5 cm inundation height showed the highest growth of paddy plants for each growth parameter. Giving dosages of liquid waste from cattle farm 16 l/m² and 24 l/m² with 5 cm and 7.5 cm inundation shows the highest production yield in the parameters of production.
