Haq, Adibullah Diaul (2020) Pemetaan Risiko Bencana Tsunami di Kecamatan Pujut Kabupaten Lombok Tengah, Nusa Tenggara Barat. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
Indonesia is an archipelagic country which has long coastline and the sea area cover 2/3 of its part, exactly surounded by the world tectonic plates subduction making Indonesia prone to tsunami disaster. Pujut Subdistrict is one of the sub-districts in Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, geographically situated near Indian Ocean off the south coast, making the threat of tsunamies very likely to occur. The threat of the tsunami disaster was further strengthened by the activity of the Indo-Australian plate subsidence (in the south) below the Eurasian plate (in the north) forming an upside fracture known as the Sunda Subduction Zone at the seabed of the Indian Ocean. In this study, a mapping of tsunami risk was carried out in Pujut Subdistrict by using descriptive, quantitative analysis methods and map overlay analysis using geospatial technology (Geographic Information Systems). The results of the study indicate that tsunami exposure occurred in six villages in Pujut Subdistrict, there are Tumpak, Prabu, Kuta, Sengkol, Mertak, and Bangket Parak Village. Those villages exposed a high level of hazard, vulnerability and tsunami risk scale based on the Index of each of these parameters. The areas that received the widest inundation were Kuta and Mertak villages. While the highest number of tsunami exposure objects were received by Kuta, Sengkol, and Mertak Village by receiving a greater amount of loss than other villages. Comprehensive mitigation efforts need to be made to the areas with high tsunami risk in this district.
