Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran trait agreeableness terhadap sikap pada berita hoax. Penelitian ini melibatkan 548 responden yang merupakan warga negara Indonesia dan memiliki hak pilih pada Pemilu 2024. Partisipan tersebut diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Trait agreeableness diukur dengan menggunakan skala Big Five Inventory yang telah di modifikasi(Ramdhani, 2012). Sikap pada berita hoax diukur dengan skala hoax (Akhrani, 2019). Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simpleregression. Hasil analisis penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai koefisien regresi (β= 0.227, ρ= 0.000), dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa trait agreebleness memiliki peran terhadap sikap pada berita hoax.

English Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the agreeableness trait towards attitudes on hoax news. This study involved 548 respondents who were Indonesian citizens and had the right to vote in the 2024 election. The participants were obtained using accidental sampling technique. Trait agreeableness is measured using a modified Big Five Inventory scale (Ramdhani, 2012). Attitudes on hoax news are measured on a hoax scale (Akhrani, 2019). Data analysis in this study used simple-regression techniques. The results of the analysis of this study indicate that the value of the regression coefficient (β = 0.227, ρ = 0.000), thus it can be concluded that the trait agreebleness has a role on attitudes to news hoax
