Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran perceived social support dengan student engagement pada mahasiswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa di Malang. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 193 mahasiswa. Metode dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kuantitatif yang bersifat korelasional. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu non probability incidental sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu skala Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) dan skala Student Course Engagement Questionnaire (SCEQ) yang sudah melalui translasi ke bahasa indonesia. Analisis data menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana dengan aplikasi SPSS versi 24. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perceived social support memiliki pengaruh sebesar 11,8% terhadap peningkatan student engagement (R = 0,118, p<0,05).
English Abstract
This study was intended to determine the role perceived social support by student engagement in students. The population in this study were college students in Malang. Evolution research subjects 193 students. The method in this research is correlational quantitative research. The sampling technique used is incidental non probability sampling. The instrument used was the scale of the Multidimensional Scale of the Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) and the scale of the Student Course Management Questionnaire (SCEQ) that had been translated to Indonesian. Data analysis using simple linear regression test with SPSS application version 24. The results showed that there is 11.8% social support to increase student engagement (R = 0.118, p <0.05).
