v ABSTRAK HUBUNGAN SOCIAL CURIOSITY DENGAN MOTIVASI UNDERSTANDING PADA RELAWAN PENDIDIKAN Meitha Dewi Pangestika 165120301111067 meithadewip@gmail.com Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara social curiosity dengan motivasi understanding pada relawan pendidikan. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 122 orang dengan karakteristik berusia 17-25 tahun yang sedang melakukan kegiatan kerelawanan pada bidang pendidikan. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah accidental sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional. Social curiosity dalam penelitian ini diukur menggunakan sub-skala social curiosity dalam The Five-Dimensional Curiosity Scale (5DC), sedangkan motivasi understanding diukur menggunakan sub-skala understanding dalam Volunteer Functions Inventory (VFI). Analisis dilakukan menggunakan Pearson Product Moment untuk menguji keterkaitan antar variabel. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat hubungan positif antara social curiosity dengan motivasi understanding pada relawan (r =0,205, p<0,05)
English Abstract
The purpose of this research is to know the relation between social curiosity and understanding motivation on educational volunteers. The participants in this research are 122 educational volunteers with such criterias as a 17-25 year old and is doing a volunteer activity on educational field. The sampling technique used in this research is accidental sampling with correlational quantitative method. Social curiosity in this research is measured with social curiosity sub-scale on The Five-Dimensional Curiosity Scale (5DC), and understanding motivation is measured with understanding motivation sub-scale on Volunteer Functions Inventory (FVI). This research is analyzed using Pearson Product Moment to examine the relation between two variables. The result shows that there is a positive relation between social curiosity and understanding motivation on educational volunteers.
