Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kesepian dengan adiksi smartphone pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Strata-1, berusia 18-24 yang menggunakan ponsel pintar. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling yaitu accidental sampling, dengan jumlah sampel minimal 139 mahasiswa, berdasarkan hasil G*Power 3.1.9.2. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua instrumen penelitian, yaitu Smartphone Addiction Scale-Short Version (SAS-SV) dan UCLA Loneliness Scale Version 3. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pearson’s product moment dengan bantuan software SPSS Statistics version 20.0. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif antara kesepian dengan kecenderungan adiksi ponsel pintar (r = 0,188, p<0,001)

English Abstract

This can affect the excessive use of smartphones to cause addiction because it reduces the loneliness experienced by students. This study aims to determine the relationship between loneliness with smartphone addiction in college students. This research uses a correlational quantitative approach. The sample used in this study was Strata-1 students, aged 18-24 who used mobile phone. This study uses a sampling technique that is accidental sampling, with a minimum sample size of 139 students, based on the results of G * Power 3.1.9.2. This study uses two research instruments, namely Smartphone Addiction Scale-Short Version (SAS-SV) and UCLA Loneliness Scale Version 3. Hypothesis testing used in this study is pearson's product moment with the help of SPSS Statistics version 20.0 software. The results in this study indicate there is a positive relationship between loneliness with intelligent mobile phone addiction (r = 0.188, p <0.001)
