Abstract
Keterlibatan Amerika Serikat dalam konflik Israel-Palestina terlihat sejak PBB memutuskan two-state solution sebagai resolusi konflik. Sejak saat itu, Amerika Serikat menjadi mediator yang aktif dan berperan untuk menyelesaikan konflik. Namun, Amerika Serikat terlihat lebih berpihak kepada Israel secara implisit. Pada tahun 2017, Amerika Serikat memperlihatkan keberpihakannya pada Israel dengan memutuskan Jerusalem sebagai Ibu Kota Israel, yang mana hal tersebut melanggar prinsip two-state solution. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk melihat faktorfaktor yang membuat Amerika Serikat berpihak kepada Israel. Hasil dari tulisan ini adalah adanya faktor-faktor khususnya faktor kelompok pro-Israel dan Lobi Israel.
English Abstract
The involvement of the United States in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has been seen since the UN decided on a two-state solution as a conflict resolution. Since then, the United States has been an active mediator and has a role in resolving conflicts. However, the United States seems to implicitly favor Israel. In 2017, the United States showed its support for Israel by deciding Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel, which violates the principle of two-state solution. This paper aims to look at the factors that make the United States side with Israel. The results of this paper are the factors in particular the pro-Israel group and the Israeli Lobby
