Abstract
Pada 1 Mei 2010, Bolivia lewat presidennya Evo Morales mengumumkan kebijakannya untuk melakukan tindakan nasionalisasi terhadap Empresa Electrica Guaracachi. Empresa Electrica Guaracachi merupakan perusahaan yang beroperasi di sektor pembangkit listrik yang dikelola oleh Rurelec Plc yang berasal dari Inggris dan Guaracachi America Inc yang berasal dari Amerika Serikat. Nasionalisasi yang dilakukan oleh Bolivia atas kebijakan dari Evo Morales ini bertujuan untuk mengembalikan kontol atas Sumber Daya Alam yang ada di Bolivia kepada negara demi meningkatkan kesejahteraan rakyat Bolivia. Penelitian ini menggunakan konsep Kepentingan Nasional milik K.J.Holsti. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan data sekunder. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskiptif, maka dapat diketahui faktor yang menyebabkan Bolivia melakukan tindakan nasionalisasi dikarenakan Bolivia ingin meningkatkan ekonomi negara, meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat, memperkuat eksistensi negara, dan meningkatkan level prestise negara. Yang mana hal tersebut dapat diketemukan di indikator Tujuan Jangka Pendek Core, Interest, and Value dan di Indikator salah satu tipe Tujuan Jangka Menengah State Prestige
English Abstract
On May 1, 2010, Bolivia, through its president Evo Morales, announced its policy to take action on nationalization of Empresa Electrica Guaracachi. Empresa Electrica Guaracachi is a company operating in the power generation sector managed by Rurelec Plc from the United Kingdom and Guaracachi America Inc. from the United States. The nationalization carried out by Bolivia on the policy of Evo Morales aims to return the dick of Natural Resources in Bolivia to the country in order to improve the welfare of the Bolivian people. This research uses the concept of K.J.Holsti's National Interest. This research is a qualitative research using secondary data. By using descriptive research methods, it can be seen the factors that cause Bolivia to take action on nationalization because Bolivia wants to improve the country's economy, improve people's welfare, strengthen the country's existence, and increase the country's prestige level. Which of these can be found in the Core, Interest, and Value Short Term Goals indicator and in the Indicators of one type of State Prestige Medium Term Goals.
