Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran umum mengenai peran Pemerintah Turki dalam melakukan represi terhadap Afiliasi FETO yang berada di Indonesia. Setelah terjadinya Kudeta 15 Juli 2016 yang dilakukan oleh FETO, Pemerintah Turki yang dipimpin oleh Presiden Recep Tayyip Erdogan telah melakukan pembersihan terhadap FETO secara masif yang berada di birokrasi negara Turki sampai keluar batas wilayah teritorialnya. Represi Transnasional merupakan tren baru dalam studi transnasionalisme yang memilki fokus terhadap peran rezim dalam menekan perbedaan pendapat warga negaranya di luar batas teritorial. Skripsi ini menggunakan konsep Represi Transnasional milik Dana Moss dengan metode penelitian kualitatif yang diperoleh dari sumber data primer dan sekunder.

English Abstract

This thesis aims to provide an overview of the role of the Turkish Government in repressing FETO affiliates in Indonesia. After the July 15 coup attempt carried out by FETO, the Turkish Government led by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had carried out a massive purge of FETO in the Turkish state bureaucracy to the outside of its territorial border. Transnational Repression is a new trend in the study of transnationalism which has a focus on the role of the regime in suppressing the dissent of its citizens beyond territorial borders. This thesis uses the concept of Transnational Repression by Dana Moss which demonstrate how states exercise coercive power across borders and the conditions under which diasporas mobilize to publicly and collectively challenge home-country regimes. This thesis use qualitative research methods obtained from primary and secondary data sources.
