Abstract
Indonesia merupakan negara yang rentan terhadap bencana alam, salah satu bencana besar yang terjadi pada tahun 2018 lalu yaitu gempa yang mengguncang pulau Lombok. Akibat besarnya dampak gempa tersebut, Lombok hingga saat ini masih dalam proses Rehabilitasi dan Rekonstruksi. Sementara itu, praktek jurnalisme bencana di Indonesia masih menuai kritik karena kecenderungan media massa nasional yang selalu mengejar kabaruan informasi. Bencana dianggap sebagai suatu even yang tidak boleh terlewatkan. Sering kali saat terjadi bencana baru, media nasional akan meninggalkan daerah terdampak lainnya yang masih dalam proses pemulihan. Oleh sebab itu, media lokal memiliki tanggung jawab dalam meneruskan pengawalan terhadap berbagai persoalan yang terjadi pasca bencana hingga tuntas. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk deskriptif kualitatif karena bertujuan untuk dapat mendeskripsikan bagaimana media lokal turut serta dalam mengawal rehabilitasi dan rekonstruksi pasca bencana gempa Lombok. Mengumpulkan data dengan wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi pemberitaan pasca gempa, baik itu pada media cetak maupun media online dari dua media lokal, yakni Lombok Post dan Suara NTB. Hasil menunjukkan, kedua media lokal tersebut telah menerapkan kebijakan redaksi yang bertujuan untuk membantu mempercepat proses rehabilitasi dan rekonstruksi pasca gempa. Seperti mewajibkan setiap jurnalisnya untuk selalu mengutamakan isu mengenai rehabilitasi dan rekonstruski, kemudian juga menjalin relasi dengan pemerintah maupun pihak bersangkutan lainnya yang dapat membantu percepatan proses tersebut. Selain itu, melalui pemberitaannya kedua media lokal tersebut juga menyajikan jurnalisme optimis untuk membantu Lombok bangkit. Seperti menuliskan pemberitaan menggunakan bahasa yang tidak mematahkan semangat para korban dan memberikan edukasi mitigasi bencana, serta melakukan kontrol atas segala permasalahan yang muncul pasca bencana
English Abstract
Indonesia is a country that prone to natural disasters, one of the major disasters that occurred in 2018 was the earthquake that shook the island of Lombok. Due to the magnitude of the impact of the earthquake, Lombok is still in the process of rehabilitation and reconstruction. Meanwhile, the practice of disaster journalism in Indonesia is still criticized because the national mass media tend to pursue updated information. Disaster is considered as an event that should be concerned on.When new disasters occur, oftenly national media will affected others areas that still in the process of recovery. Therefore, the local media has the responsibility to continue escorting to various problems that occur after the disaster happend until it fully recovery. This type of research is qualitative descriptive because it aims to describe how local media participated in overseeing rehabilitation and reconstruction process in the aftermath of Lombok earthquake. Collecting data with in-depth interviews and documentation of post-earthquake news, both in print and online media from two local media, namely Lombok Post and Suara NTB. The results show that the two local media have implemented editorial policies aimed at helping accelerate the rehabilitation and reconstruction process in the aftermath of the earthquake. Such as obliging each journalist to always prioritize the issue of rehabilitation and reconstruction, then also establish relationships with the government and other relevant parties that can help accelerate the process. In addition, through the reporting, the two local media also presented optimistic journalism to help Lombok rehabilitation. Such as writing news using language that does not discourage victims and provide disaster mitigation education, and doing control over all problems that arise after a disaster.
