Abstract

Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Brawijaya merupakan suatu fakultas di Universitas Brawijaya yang berdiri sejak tahun 2008 dengan nama Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter Gigi (PSPDG) Universitas Brawijaya, yang kemudian berubah status menjadi Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Brawijaya pada tahun 2015. FKG UB menyediakan website sebagai media penyampaian informasi yang sebagian besar memiliki menu yang sudah diatur dalam Surat Keputusan tentang Website UKPA Universitas Brawijaya. Latar belakang masalah yang ditemukan berdasarkan hasil analisis dari wawancara pra penelitian adalah pengguna merasa kesulitan mencari informasi tertentu, dan peletakan konten yang sulit untuk dicari. Kemudian berdasarkan kebutuhan, website FKG UB akan mengalami penambahan beberapa konten. Berdasarkan permasalahan dan kebutuhan tersebut, maka peneliti melakukan evaluasi dengan menggunakan pengujian tree testing dengan mengukur aspek success rate, directness, first click, dan destination untuk mengetahui lebih lanjut permasalahan pada alur dan navigasi website, dan juga peneliti melakukan pengujian card sorting untuk menyusun struktur informasi dari website tanpa merubah ketentuan dari Surat Keputusan Tentang Website UKPA Universitas Brawijaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Human Centered Design (HCD) untuk menghasilkan rekomendasi sitemap sebagai struktur informasi dari website, dan merekomendasikan perbaikan dalam bentuk desain. Petunjuk yang digunakan untuk rekomendasi dalam perbaikan website adalah aturan dari Health Human Services (HHS) guidelines. Penelitian ini menghasilkan rekomendasi perbaikan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna, dan telah dilakukan evaluasi desain solusi untuk membuktikan bahwa pada beberapa skenario yang sama, hasil evaluasi mengalami pertambahan nilai.

English Abstract

Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Brawijaya is a dentistry faculty in Universitas Brawijaya which was established in 2008 under the name Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter Gigi (PSPDG) of Universitas Brawijaya, which later changed its status to the Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi in 2015. FKG UB provides a website as an information medium which mostly has a menu that has been arranged in Surat Keputusan Tentang Website UKPA Universitas Brawijaya. The background of the problems found based on the results of the analysis from the pre-research interview is that users find it difficult to find certain information, and the placement of content makes it difficult to find. Then based on the needs, FKG UB's website will experience the addition of some content from their other website. Based on these problems and needs, the researcher conducted an evaluation using tree testing by measuring aspects of success rate, directness, first click, and destination to find out more about problems in website flow and navigation, and also researchers conducted card sorting testing to construct the information structure from the website without changing the provisions of Surat Keputusan Tentang Website UKPA Universitas Brawijaya. Researchers use the Human Centered Design (HCD) approach to produce a sitemap recommendation as an information structure of the website, and recommend improvements in the form of design. The instructions used for recommendations in website improvement are the rules of the Health Human Services (HHS) guidelines. This study produces recommendations for improvement that are appropriate to the needs of users, and evaluation of the design of solutions has been carried out to prove that in some of the same scenarios, the evaluation results add value.
