Abstract
Penyakit +-infeksi akibat tindakan medis terutama rawat inap terlalu lama. merupakan -penyakit infeksi yang semakin sering ditemui, salah satunya oleh bakteri Acinetobacter_baumannii. Infesksi ini paling sering terjadi oleh penggunaan ventilator dan kateter terlalu lama. Acinetobacter baumannii memiliki mekanisme pembentukan biofilm dan resistensi terhadap beberapa antibiotik. _Jahe merah (Zingiber officinale var. rubrum) adalah salah satu bahan rempah yang mudah di cari dan sering dimanfaatkan di -Asia Tenggara, terutama Indonesia sebagai obat tradisional maupun makanan. Diketahui- jahe merah sendiri memiliki berbagai macam manfaat, salah satunya sebagai antibakteri. Studi ini bermaksud mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak ethanol dari rimpang jahe merah sebagai penghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Acinetobacter baumannii secara oin_vitro. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan desain test only control group dengan metode dilusi tabung. Pada analisis datai didapatkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata yang signifikan dan nyata antar .kelompok perlakuan ditunjukan dengan data CFU/mL (p<0.001) . Dengan hasil analisis data yang diperoleh,- dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak ethanol rimpang jahe merah dapat menghambat .pertumbuhan bakteri Acinetobacter baumannii
English Abstract
Infectious diseases due to medical personnel, mainly due to long term hospitalization often cause common infectious disease, which is Acinetobacter baumanniia is one of them. This infection occurs most often by using a ventilator and catheter fora too long. Acinetobacter baumannii has a mechanism for biofilm formation and resistance to several antibiotics. Red .,ginger (Zingiber_officinale var. rubrum) is one of the ingredients_ of sspices that is easy to find and oftens used in Southeast Asia, especially sIndonesiasa as a traditional medicine and food. It is- known that red ginger itself has a variety of benefits, one of them is antimicrobial. This study intends to determine the effect of ethanol extract from the red ginger rhizome as an inhibitor of the growth of Acinetobactersa baumanniisa bacterias in vitro. This research is an experimental study with a test only control group design with tube dilution method. In the data analysis it was found that there were significant differences between treatment groups indicated bys CFU/mL/ data (p <0.001). With the results of the analysis of the data obtained, it cans be concluded that the ethanol extract of red ginger rhizome can inhibit the growth offf Acinetobacters baumanniis bacteria.
