Abstract
Tuberkulosis masih menjadi perhatian pemerintah sebagai salah satu penyakit yang menyebabkan kematian. Salah satu penyebab meningkatnya prevalensi tuberkulosis dikarenakan tingginya angka penularan. Family caregiver yang mengurus pasien tuberkulosis dalam kesehariannya mempunyai risiko lebih tinggi untuk tertular. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan dan sikap family caregiver pasien tuberkulosis. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental dengan one group pre-post test design. Pengambilan sampling menggunakan consecutive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 23 responden. Analisis statistik dengan uji statistik Wilcoxon dan uji Paired T Test didapatkan hasil p-value 0,000 < alpha 0,05 untuk variabel pengetahuan dan sikap. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pendidikan kesehatan terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan dan sikap family caregiver pasien tuberkulosis. Saran untuk RSUD dr. Harjono S Ponorogo untuk menindaklanjuti pendidikan kesehatan tentang pemakaian masker pada seluruh family caregiver maupun pengunjung serta menambahkan lagi variasi dari media promosi kesehatan. Saran untuk peneliti selanjutnya untuk melakukan penelitian di RS yang memiliki populasi lebih besar atau melakukan penelitian di Komunitas, serta melakukan penelitian dengan kelompok kontrol dan melakukan intervensi lebih dari 1 kali untuk melihat kefektifan pendidikan kesehatan.
English Abstract
Tuberculosis is still a concern of the government as one of the diseases that cause death. The high prevalence of tuberculosis is contributed by the high transmission rate. Family caregivers who take care of tuberculosis patients on a daily basis have a higher risk for disease transmision. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education on increasing the knowledge and attitudes of family caregiver for tuberculosis patients. The research design used was pre-experimental with one group pre-post test design. Sampling using consecutive sampling with a sample of 23 respondents. Statistical analysis with the Wilcoxon statistical test and Paired T Test results obtained p-value 0,000 <alpha 0.05 for knowledge and attitude variables. The conclusion of this study was that there was a significant influence of health education on improving the knowledge and attitudes of family caregiver of patients with tuberculosis. Suggestions for RSUD dr. Harjono S Ponorogo to follow up health education about the use of masks to all family caregivers and visitors and to add more variations from the health promotion media. Suggestions for further researchers to conduct research in hospitals that have a larger population or conduct research in the community, as well as conducting research with control groups and intervening more than once to see the effectiveness of health education.
