Abstract
Salah satu tantangan profesi perawat yang bertugas di rumah sakit jiwa adalah kecemasan, terutama kecemasan dalam menangani pasien gangguan jiwa. Komposisi pasien di rumah sakit Jiwa dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, jumlah pasien pria jauh lebih besar dibandingkan jumlah pasien wanita. Hal ini mengakibatkan beberapa perawat wanita diharuskan untuk bertugas di ruang rawat inap pria, sehingga terjadi kondisi seorang perawat pria berpasangan dengan seorang perawat wanita pada saat shift sore atau malam. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi perbedaan tingkat kecemasan perawat berdasarkan gender partner kerja shift di ruang rawat inap rumah sakit jiwa Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode komparatif dengan populasi adalah seluruh perawat yang berdinas sore dan atau malam di ruang rawat inap jiwa. Peneliti menggunakan kuesioner HARS (Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale) untuk mengukur tingkat kecemasan. Responden dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok berdasarkan gender partner kerja shift. Hasil uji statistik Chi-Square menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kecemasan keempat kelompok tersebut tidak berbeda secara signifikan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah tidak ada perbedaan tingkat kecemasan pada perawat berdasarkan gender partner kerja shift di ruang rawat inap rumah sakit jiwa Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang. Saran penelitian ini adalah dapat menjadi sumber informasi bagi rumah sakit untuk melakukan tindakan antisipasi terhadap dampak kecemasan perawat dalam melaksanakan tugas, sehingga kualitas pelayanan keperawatan dapat meningkat.
English Abstract
One of the challenges for nurses in charge of mental hospitals is anxiety, especially anxiety in dealing with mental patients. In recent years, the number of male patients in mental health hospital dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang, is far greater than the number of female patients. This resulted in some female nurses being required to serve in male in-patient rooms, resulting in the condition of a male nurse being paired with a female nurse during the evening or night shift. The purpose of this study was to identify differences in the level of anxiety of nurses based on gender work partner shifts in the inpatient room of the mental hospital Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang. This study uses comparative method with the population is all nurses who served in the afternoon and / or evening in the mental inpatient room. Researchers used the HARS (Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale) questionnaire to measure anxiety levels. Respondents were divided into 4 groups based on gender work partner shift. The Chi-Square statistical test results showed that the anxiety levels of the four groups did not differ significantly. The conclusion of this study is that there is no difference in the level of anxiety in nurses based on gender work partner shifts in the inpatient room of the mental hospital Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang. This research provides an information for hospitals to perform anticipating actions on the impact of nurse anxiety in carrying out duties, so the quality of nursing service can be increased.
