Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui profil kualitas air dan struktur komunitas makroinvertebrata bentos di Air Terjun Tumpak Sewu dan salurannya, Kabupaten Lumajang, dan mengevaluasi dampak aktivitas manusia di sekitar air terjun terhadap perubahan kualitas air menggunakan indeks biotik makroinvertebrata bentos. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Mei - Desember 2019. Stasiun penelitian dibagi menjadi 3 dengan dasr aktivitas manusia yang dominan. Pengukuran kualitas air meliputi pH, Suhu, DO, BOD, Turbiditas. Makroinvertebrata bentos diambil menggunakan jaring surber. Makroinvertebrata bentos yang didapat kemudian diidentifikasi lebih lanjut di lab. Data makroinvertebrata bentos yang telah diperoleh ditabulasi dengan menggunakan microsoft excel dan dihitung kemudian dilakukan perhitungan Indeks nilai penting (INP), indeks diversitas Shannon-Wiener (H), Indeks Dominansi simpson (id) Indeks Keseragaman (E), Family Biotic Index (FBI) sebagai bioindikator kualitas air. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya penurunan kualitas air dari stasiun 1-3. Perhitungan indeks diversitas Shannon-Wiener menunjukkan stasiun 1 memiliki kualitas terbaik dengan nilai 1,54 yang berarti sedikit tercemar sedangkan pada stasiun 2 tergolong tercemar sedang dan stasiun 3 tercemar berat. Perhitungan FBI menunjukkan stasiun 1 dan 2 tergolong “sangat baik” sedangkan stasiun 3 tergolong “cukup”.
English Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the water quality profile and structure of benthic macroinvertebrate communities in the Tumpak Sewu Waterfall and its channel, Lumajang Regency, and evaluate the impact of human activities around the waterfalls on changes in water quality using biotic index of benthic macroinvertebrates. This research was conducted in May - December 2019. The research station was divided into 3 with the predominant level of human activity. Water quality measurements include pH, temperature, DO, BOD, turbidity. Benthic macroinvertebrates are taken using a surber net. Benthic macroinvertebrates obtained were further identified in the lab. Benthic macroinvertebrate data that has been obtained are tabulated using Microsoft Excel and calculated then performed an important value index (INP), Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H), Simpson dominance index (id) Evennes Index (E), Family Biotic Index (FBI) as a bioindicator of water quality. The results showed a decrease in water quality from stations 1-3. The Shannon-Wiener diversity index calculation shows that Station 1 has the best quality with a value of 1.54 which means it is slightly polluted while Station 2 is classified as moderate and Station 3 is heavily polluted. FBI calculations show stations 1 and 2 are classified as very good while station 3 is classified as fair
