Abstract
Perilaku kesehatan gigi meliputi pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan yang berkaitan dengan pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi. Health Belief Model adalah teori yang mengungkapkan kepercayaan individu melakukan perilaku sehat dengan 6 penilaian yaitu perceived suscepbility, perceived severity, perceived benefit, perceived barrier, cues to action, self-efficacy. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Health Belief Model (HBM) pada orangtua terhadap Oral Hygiene Index Simplified (OHI-S) anak usia 8-15 tahun di Rumah Sakit Universitas Brawijaya. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif analitis. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 30 anak dengan orangtuanya. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner Health Belief Model kepada orangtua dan pemeriksaan langsung pada rongga mulut anak perihal Oral Hygiene Index Simplified. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana untuk mengetahui pengaruh Health Belief Model pada orangtua terhadap Oral Hygiene Index Simplified anak usia 8-15 tahun di RSUB. Dari hasil perhitungan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa, Health Belief Model berpengaruh positif secara signifikan terhadap Oral Hygiene Index Simplified anak usia 8-15 tahun di Rumah Sakit Universitas Brawijaya.
English Abstract
Health Belief Model is a theory that reveals individual beliefs of doing healthy behavior with 6 assessors which are perceived suscepbility, perceived severity, perceived benefit, perceived barrier, cues to action, self-efficacy. This study aims to determine the effect of Health Belief Model (HBM) on parents to Oral Hygiene Index Simplified (OHI-S) of children aged 8-15 years in Brawijaya University Hospital. This kind of study is categorized as analytical description research. Research samples consist of 30 children with their parents. The research was conducted using questionnaire about the dimension of Health Belief Model to parents and with direct examination to children’s oral cavity regarding to Oral Hygiene Index Simplified. This research is using simple analytical regression to determine the effect of Health Belief Model on parents to Oral Hygiene Index Simplified of children aged 8-15 years in Brawijaya University Hospital. The result of simple regression calculation showed that Health Belief Model significantly brought positive effects to Oral Hygiene Index Simplified. It can also be concluded that Health Belief Model on parents is affecting Oral Hygiene Index Simplified of children aged 8-15 years in Brawijaya University Hospital.
