Abstract
Pengetahuan tentaang kehilangan gigi dan penggunaan GTL sangat dibutuhkan sehingga dapat menumbuhkan kesadaran seseorang bahwa dengan menggunakan gigi tiruan lengkap bisa mengembalikan fungsi gigi tersebut. Kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang kegunaan GTL menyebabkan kurangnya harapan masyarakat pada perawatan GTL. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengeahuan pasien tentang kehilngan gigi dan harapan pasien terhadap perawatan gigi tiruan lengkap (GTL). Teknik yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei analitik dengan melakukan pendekatan secara cross-sectional. Jumlah subjek pada penelitian ini sebanyak 48 pasien GTL yang ada di RSUB Malang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengetahuan baik sebanyak 35 orang (72.9%) dan yang memiliki pengetahuan sedang sebanyak 11 orang (22.9%) sedangkan yang memiliki pengetahuan buruk sebanyak 2 orang (4.2%). Pasien, yang memiliki harapan tinggi 47 orang (97.9%), dan yang sedang 1 orang (2.1%). Hasil uji korelasi Spearman menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikan yang diperoleh adalah 0,031 yang bernilai < 0.05 maka diputuskan tolak H0, Nilai korelasi yang diperoleh adalah 0,313 yang masuk dalam rentang lemah dengan arah positif. Artinya semakin baik pengetahuan pasien tentang kehilangan gigi maka harapan pasien terhadap perawatan GTL juga semakin tinggi. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini bahwa terdapat hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan pasien tentang kehilangan gigi dan harapan pasien terhadap perawatan gigi tiruan lengkap (GTL).
English Abstract
Knowledge about tooth loss and the use of full dentures is needed so that it can raise one's awareness that using full dentures can restore the function of the tooth. Lack of public knowledge about the usefulness of Full dentures causes a lack of community expectations for full dentures care. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of patient knowledge about tooth loss and patient expectations of full dentures. The technique used in this study is analytical survey methods with a cross-sectional approach. The number of subjects in this study were 48 patients in RSUB Malang. This study uses a questionnaire. The results showed good knowledge of 35 people (72.9%) and those with moderate knowledge as many as 11 people (22.9%) while those who had bad knowledge were 2 people (4.2%). While the patients who have high expectation is 47 people (97.9%), and patient that have moderate expectation is 1 person (2.1%).The results of the Spearman correlation test showed that the significant value obtained was 0.031 which was worth <0.05 so it was decided to reject H0. The correlation value obtained was 0.313 which entered the weak range with positive direction. This means that the better the patient's knowledge about tooth loss, the higher the patient's expectation of full dentures treatment. The conclusion of this study is there is a relationship between patient knowledge levels about tooth loss and patient expectations for full dentures.
