Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran Lembaga Desa Wisata “Gajah Mada” dalam pengelolaan Desa Wisata Budaya “Kampung Majapahit” berdasarkan perspektif community-based tourism yang ada di Desa Bejijong Kecamatan Trowulan Kabupaten Mojokerto. Desa Wisata Budaya “Kampung Majapahit” merupakan sebuah destinasi desa wisata yang memiliki beberapa kearifan lokal yaitu situs peninggalan Kerajaan Majapahit. Proses pengelolaan Desa Wisata Budaya “Kampung Majapahit” mengikutsertakan masyarakat lokal dan dinaungi oleh lembaga independen yaitu Lembaga Desa Wisata (Ladewi) “Gajah Mada”. Namun pada realitanya, terdapat beberapa objek wisata yang masih belum dikelola masyarakat Desa Bejijong secara optimal salah satunya yaitu rumah Majapahit. Tetapi kondisi tersebut dibiarkan oleh Ladewi “Gajah Mada” selaku pihak pengelola Desa Wisata Budaya “Kampung Majapahit”. Analisis peran Ladewi “Gajah Mada” dilakukan menggunakan perspektif community-based tourism atau pariwisata berbasis masyarakat yang memiliki dua unsur yaitu struktur community-based tourism oleh WTO dan prinsip communitybased tourism oleh Hatton. Analisis tersebut disusun menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus untuk mengetahui peran Ladewi “Gajah Mada” dalam pengelolaan Desa Wisata Budaya “Kampung Majapahit” berdasarkan perspektif community-based tourism. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam pengelolaan Desa Wisata Budaya “Kampung Majapahit”, Ladewi “Gajah Mada” memiliki beberapa peran yang sudah melekat dengan perspektif community-based tourism mulai dari struktur hingga prinsip. Akan tetapi, secara umum pengelolaan Desa Wisata Budaya “Kampung Majapahit” belum optimal sesuai dengan perspektif community-based tourism. Hal tersebut dikarenakan masih adanya beberapa permasalahan dalam pengelolaan objek wisata Mahavihara Majapahit, objek wisata candi dan rumah Majapahit. Inilah tiga tantangan Ladewi “Gajah Mada” dalam menerapkan community-based tourism secara utuh kedepannya.
English Abstract
This study aims to determine the role of “Gajah Mada” Tourism Village Institution in the management of “Kampung Majapahit” Cultural Tourism Village based on the perspective of community-based tourism in Bejijong Village, Trowulan District, Mojokerto Regency. “Kampung Majapahit” Cultural Tourism Village is a tourist village destination that has some local wisdom, which is the heritage site of the Majapahit Kingdom. The process of managing the “Kampung Majapahit” Cultural Tourism Village involves local people and is shaded by an independent institution which called “Gajah Mada” Tourism Village Institution. But in reality, there are several attractions that are still not optimally managed by the Bejijong Village community, one of which is the Majapahit house. But the condition is left by the “Gajah Mada” Tourism Village Institution as the manager of the “Kampung Majapahit” Cultural Tourism Village. The analysis was constructed by a qualitative method using a case study approach to determine the role “Gajah Mada” Tourism Village Institution in the management of the “Kampung Majapahit” Cultural Tourism Village on the perspective of community-based tourism. The results showed that in the management of “Kampung Majapahit” Cultural Tourism Village, “Gajah Mada” Tourism Village Institutios had several roles that had been embedded with a community-based tourism perspective from structure to principle. However, in general the management of “Kampung Majapahit” Cultural Tourism Village has not been optimal in accordance with the perspective of community-based tourism. That is because there are still some problems in the management tourism object of Mahavihara Majapahit, temple and Majapahit house. These are the three challenges of “Gajah Mada” Tourism Village Institution in implementing community-based tourism as a whole in the future.
