Abstract
Keterampilan klinis komunikasi sangat diperlukan di profesi kedokteran untuk melakukan tindakan medis yang efektif dan efisien, sehingga perlu adanya latihan yang optimal dari segi kuantitas maupun kualitas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan metode pembelajaran Skills Lab komunikasi berdasarkan persepsi instruktur dan mahasiswa di Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Brawijaya dengan menggunakan metode penelitian survey analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional yang dilakukan pada bulan November hingga Desember 2018. Sampel penelitian meliputi mahasiswa blok 2 sebanyak 104 orang dan instruktur Skills lab komunikasi 9 orang. Penelitian dimulai dengan pembagian dan pengisian kuesioner mengenai pelaksanaan skills lab komunikasi pada seluruh sampel terhadap lima aspek penilaian (Instruktur, Materi pembelajaran, Mahasiswa, Metode pembelajan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran). Setelah itu dilakukan uji Mann Whitney untuk menganalisis perbedaan persepsi instruktur dan mahasiswa. Hasil uji menyatakan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pada tiga aspek penilaian (mahasiswa, materi, dan metode pembelajaran) dengan nilai siginifikan <0,05 dan tidak terdapat perbedaan pada dua aspek penilaian (instruktur dan evaluasi pembelajaran) dengan nilai signifikan >0,05. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa adanya perbedaan persepsi antara instruktur dan mahasiswa terhadap metode pembelajaran skills lab komunikasi di FKG UB.
English Abstract
Clinical communication skills are very necessary in the medical profession to carry out effective and efficient medical actions, therefore it is necessary to have optimal training in terms of quantity and quality. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the implementation of the communication Skills Lab learning method based on the perceptions of instructors and students at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Brawijaya. Using the analytical survey research method with a cross sectional approach conducted in November to December 2018. The research sample included 104 block 2 students and 9 communication skills lab lecturers.The study began by conducting validity and reliability tests on the questionnaire, then distributing and filling out questionnaires regarding the implementation of communication skills labs in all samples on five aspects of assessment (Instructors, Learning Materials, Students, Learning Methods, and learning evaluation). After that, the Mann Whitney test was conducted to analyze differences in perceptions of instructors and students. The test results stated that there were differences in three aspects of assessment (students, material, and learning methods) with significant values <0.05 and there were no differences in two aspects of assessment (instructor and learning evaluation) with a significant value> 0.05. The results of this study state that there are differences in perceptions between instructors and students on communication lab skills learning methods in Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Brawijaya.
